Tips on a non pastel underwater type room?

Hello! Like the title suggests, I'm thinking of making a room that's underwater/sea creature style, but I want something different than the mermaid/pastel look. Does anyone have any ideas?

I was thinking of getting some sea creatures via diving to display, and also pieces of Pascal's pirate furniture. But I'm not sure what other kinds of furniture would work, or what kind of wallpaper/flooring...

Is it weird? XD

Maybe deep blue items like the Aquarius urn, gemini closet, blue vase, etc? Or I was browsing for ideas and saw the broken post item and thought of an underwater city vibe, like broken down?

Some of the modern set might fit if you go for a dark blue?

And there's the sweet's player, that's pink, but shaped like a clam?

Hope those random ideas helped! It's not an easy theme with the items available, I don't think.

Yeah, it's not an easy thing to do. I kinda realized after scrolling through my catalog, there's not much that could fit...

You can get a nice wall/floor from Celeste once you complete the aquarium section. Do you like some of the fishing tourney prizes?

Oh, that's a nice idea for a room! I would definitely recommend the underwater wall and floor, as
they are perfect for a underwater themed room. Blue items like parts from the blue series could
work too. Maybe you could also use some of the items you can get from Chip at the Fishing
Tourney, as they would also fit to your theme since those are "sea-creature-themed" furniture
(like the octopus chair, football-fish lamp, crab clock, sea-anemone bed or the jellyfish lamp for
example). You can also displaying some little fishes or sea creatures in the room or maybe one
big one in the middle of the room (like a shark for example).

I do like the tourney prizes, but I'm so bad at it I can never get more than 3-4 special items at a time RIP

Omg! These are great suggestions THANK YOU! First step is, gotta get better at getting the tourney furniture D: I have some diving creatures, like a starfish, sea urchin, scallop, but I also want lobsters and crabs, so it's gonna take a while

You know what I saw a screenshot where an underwater type room had rococo & polka dot series and thought, wow that worked! We were just so used to people using pastel mermaid series for underwater themes hold on I'll try to find them.

Edit: So obviously they're customized to match the blue underwater flooring. Are these still "pastel"? I feel that most blue hinted furniture would work.

Thank you so much for these!! One idea I had was to customize the polka dot series into blue but I'm afraid it might come off too bright... the rococo as gothic purple looks AMAZING though! I'll have to try that out! The second pic almost looks eerie wow I like it! I wonder what kind of music they have playing.

The ocean floor is super dark and full of unusual animals that have evolved in ways that makes them look strange because they have to deal with the dark and extreme water pressure. I've always thought that it might be cool to have a water themed room that is dark and strange to kinda go along with that.

I think the mush lamp would look really good in an underwater themed room, for example. It looks like it could be a weird squid or something.

The mush lamp would be a great addition to a deep sea room. I think the football fish lamp would also be really cool, because football fish are deep sea creatures, and the lamp is definitely not pastel in any way. The rococo set customized deep purple or even black would probably be your best bet for darker non pastel furniture, I have a Rococo Vanity that I could send your way if you’d like it/don’t already have it/want another? You could also try to find dark wallpaper/carpet QR codes to place directly on your walls and floors because there aren’t too many wallpapers or carpets that look like the sea.
