Tips on earning tbt?

I'd recommend checking out this guide first to get a general idea of what you could do.

To get bells on your birthday, you have to make sure that the age you are turning is filled out on your profile, and then, for say, if you were turning 14 (from what I have heard), you would receive 140 bells on your birthday.

I believe you get 60 tbt on your birthday. Mine wasn't that long ago but I cant remember exactly. I don't think it's based off of age, because in that case I should've gotten a lot more than I did. I could be wrong, but whatever lmao
If you need tips, I suggest just posting a lot. Not spam, but genuine posts. The longer the post the more tbt. However, some forums, like the game section for instance, don't give off tbt.
Edit; I checked the PM I got on my birthday telling me I got tbt. It was 85 bells, so I believe that is what you get on your birthday. (my birthday year and other info was filled out at the time)

It's 100TBT + your age
Yes, birthday bells are technically 100 TBT Bells + your age, however, the system is very glitched, and a lot of the time you wont even receive any bells - sometimes you'll only obtain a partial amount )which is why Aleigh received 85 TBT Bells) and if you're extremely lucky, then you'll get the whole amount.
Ultimately, it's out of our hands, and comes down purely to luck. If you don't receive any bells for your birthday there really isn't anything we can do.

Just keep posting in boards that earn you Bells, such as this one.
Creating new threads will earn you a fair chunk of Bells, especially if you write a fair amount in them and adding a poll to said thread earns you more Bells still, which is why I think so many people are creating these "what's your favourite x" threads.

Fun fact: Earned 3.3 Bells from that post. Adding this on will probably bump it up to 3.4 or 3.5.

Nevermind - bumped it up to 4.7 Bells! I won't leave another update to let you know what it's up to now, as it would continue all the way up to 10 Bells and that would just make my post a little bit on the spammy side.

I turned 15 yesterday, was active, and didn't get anything, but I'd gotten 100 TBT on the day before two of my previous birthdays without activity... I was actually kind of relying on getting another bonus this year. x( I really wanted to save up for that June birthstone collectible!

Just post comments of decent length. I tend to get keyboard happy with my responses, so they naturally come out a bit longer usually, and I just earn TBT like that not even knowing when I got it all, haha.
(I just earned 100 in like a day and I was only interacting on the forums normally, nothing beyond that.)

For me, I usually make my posts elaborate in Brewster's Cafe. Long posts=up to 10 bells each
Hybrid shops are always popular, so if you have a lot on hand (or Time Travel to get a bunch...haha!) then you can make quick TBT there. And of course, selling/auctioning top-tier villagers can get you quite a bit!
