Hey guys! So today I finally went out and bought Wild World for my DS. Being one of the few that has only played New Leaf and no other past titles, I got rather excited when I saw Wild World at my local video game store :) So, anything I should know before I start playing? Anything that'll help? All comments are welcomed ; u ;

Wild World was my favorite game back then. I used to play it everyday and I took it everywhere with me. It's basically similar to any other Animal Crossing game. The house upgrades are the same as they are on New Leaf. You can have a mansion again. Good luck with the game!

Have fun! WW was my first AC game. Started playing it last year and LOVED it! Played nearly every day. I still play every now and then.

If your animals are in boxes and talking about moving, you can often talk them out of moving if you keep talking to them until they say they'll think about staying or something similar. Also send them a letter at night with a present attached to be delivered next day. I think they stay in boxes for about two days before they finally leave.

You can change your bed in the attic. Just have the bed you want in your pocket, stand at the foot of the common bed, touch your head and the game will ask you if you'd like to change out your bed.

-The controls are a bit weird when you've played New Leaf for awhile. They're clunky, not to mention you're playing a much stumpier character. So there's that...
-Grass doesn't wear in Wild World.
-Going to K.K.'s show (in the basement in the museum) every Saturday night is the ONLY way you can get music.
-There are no silver tools. Golden shovel can be obtained by burying a shovel with another shovel and waiting 24 hours and then digging it up. Getting a golden axe.... well, good luck with that.
-And like tinybutterfly75 mentioned, there's an attic that the only thing you can do in it is play with the telephone (it only changes game settings, don't get too excited) and change the bed you sleep in. It's an alternate way to save your game besides pressing Start.
-There are no pro designs. If you wear a pattern as a shirt the same image shows on the front, back, and sleeves.
-Slingshots are very useful in this game. There are balloons, and they contain cool items that are in no way balloon-related. Sometimes Pete the pelican will fly by and you can shoot him, or Gulliver will be in a UFO and you can shoot him.
-Emotions are like Pokemon moves; if you get four and want a fifth, you have to forget one of your current ones. Shrunk will wander around your town on a given day; there's no Club LOLs.
-Lyle will come to you soon after you've moved in and will sell you insurance; 100 bells in the mail if you get bee stung, however many he gives you if you choose to have forged painting insurance as well. If you want that insurance, you'd better somehow get 3,000 bells to pay for it when he does come, or else the next time he asks you, the price will go up.
-With Crazy Redd, he'll sell furniture as well as paintings. There is no way to tell if the painting is real or fake. Most of the time they will be fake. Also, the furniture price is higher than that of Nook's store. Plus, just to buy anything from him, you have to become a "cousin", and to even get into his tent to begin with, you have to know the password. Listen around your town because sometimes villagers will tell you what it is.
-Fruit that's not your native is very hard to get. You can get coconuts from them occasionally washing up on the beach, and the other fruits you can try to get by sending a letter to your villagers, mentioning "fruit" in your letter. When you do that, there is a small chance of them sending a letter with non-native fruit in it. (Rocco once wrote me saying he found a pear under his sofa cushions. XD) Or you could just make friends with other people with the game and go to their town for their fruit.
-The final upgrade of Nook's shop requires you to spend a ton of bells AND for someone visiting from another town to buy something from Nook's. I could never do it because it wouldn't let me get a friend code :(
-Gracie doesn't have a store. If you want clothes and accessories from her, you'll have to see her when she comes and pass a question-and-answer test about fashion (it's difficult without the aid of the Internet). It's hard for me to explain, but here's the lowdown: http://strategywiki.org/wiki/Animal_Crossing:_Wild_World/Gracie_and_the_fashionista_badge

Here's some quick advice for you. Have fun with Wild World!
