Tom Nook amiibo or Series 2 pack

Which should i get today if im going to Gamestop....
i am thinking of making the Tom amiibo look like he is in the challenges: like this

or get series 2 and have a chance to meet some new special characters...

While Tom is very cute I think it would be more worth it to get a pack of cards because then you can get 3-6 (depending on where you live) new people instead of just getting Tom

Maybe you should buy a series 1 pack of amiibo cards, because then you might get the Tom Nook card (does the same thing as the figure for this game) *and* you'll get other characters too.

Oh the cards are so random you can buy 10 packs easy and not get Nook. If you for sure know you are going to get him, you either need to buy a card opened, or his figure. I vote his figure because it's worth the value given the detail.
