So there are set themes that your town can follow (such as zen, fairy-tale, modern, ect.), but I would like to know what other themes can be created using pwps and villagers. These are the themes I've seen so far:

- Color themes such as an all blue town or even rainbow towns with each villager being a different color
- Horror towns
- Historical towns based on different time periods/places
- Garden/nature/hippy towns
- Camping/wilderness towns
- Towns based on cartoons/films/books/anime, ect.
- Space/future theme
- Themes based on the four seasons

If I ever had time for another town, personally I would love to make a military base/boot camp! These are my list of villagers I would have:
Agent S- Peppy
Rocket- Uchi
Celia- Normal
Velma- Snooty
Deli- Lazy
Boomer- Lazy
Tex or Klaus- Smug
Sly- Jock
Camofrog- Cranky
Apollo- Cranky

And the pwps:
Campsite (for training)
Modern pwps in general
Camping Cot
Bell
Pile of Pipes
Instrument Shelter
Traffic Signs
Fire Pit
Stadium Light
Video Screen
Drilling Rig
Geyser
Parabolic Antenna
Solar Panels
Tower
Wind Turbine

What other themes are out there? What villagers and pwps would you use?

I like the rainbow color coded idea!

I don't know if anyone plays Skyrim.... most people haven't heard of it (depressing)
but Riften is the name of the shady thief town in it, so I thought it was a perfect name for my town full of innocent animals lol
My Villagers are
Drago- dragons are what skyrim is all about
Sterling- Riften Guardsmen
Paula, Whitney, Bangle- Bears, Wolves, and Sabre cats are common enemies in Skyrim
Roscoe- Shadowmere the horse is a black horse with red eyes and is in game
Vic- a nord, nords are a race in Skyrim you can guess what they look like
Ankha- the jarl (or like ruler) of Riften
Jacques- the bard lol
Merengue- least fitting of the 10, but I mean there are chefs in game, but also just like a specialized NPC villager which is another big part of the game

each has a specific yard with color coded flowers and PWPs to match their personalities! I freaking love my town!

My second town is more so just to house my favorite villagers and like a free form of ideas... although I do have plans for a zen park, sparkle park (all the illuminated PWPS), and my coastal cliff has 4 villagers along a long plaza, but I put bushes to distinguish each house and a lighthouse on the main path that winds from house to house! I also made a cute plaza sitting area on the far side of this for the Cafe...

I Have A Flower Town With all bunny villagers. I'm hoping to make it more bunny based :)

My first town Oranje has a garden/historical theme. It's based on the Ottoman empire, with two characters dedicated to history (the princess and the vizier) while the other two are nature themed (one is an ocean themed hotel and the other is nature themed). The princess's house has a courtyard, bathhouse, cafe, study, and a secret tomb under the house. The vizier has an observatory, an armory, two desert shrines, a kitchen tent, and bedroom.

My other town Hillwood is based on the Hey Arnold cartoon series. It has Arnold, Helga, Sid, and eventually Lila and has an urban theme to it. It's still a work in progress though!

I don't know why, but when I play AC I'm always reminded of up north, the peacefulness of the woods, cottaging and camping. So the wilderness theme really appeals to me. My house is modelled after a log cabin, and I tend to gravitate towards villagers who look like their real-life animal counterparts.

It's all a matter of taste really! When you play animal crossing, what feel do you get from it? Try to theme your town after something that will have lasting value and that you can always work towards.

I'm making mine a sort of forest-themed and using my 3 fave species, wolves, eagles, and deer. The town name and mayor name are after my fave book, which is irrelevant to the theme but yeah. I'm trying to do what LoonieToonie is doing and getting more realistically designed villagers but I'm not being overly strict with that rule lol. I'm planning to use the hammock, bonfire, and log bench PWPs mainly. I'll figure it out as I go along.

Mine... I don't know. I wanted a mexican themed town, but I'm using the japanese themed PWPs, so I don't have idea. Right now my villagers are somewhat related with either the sun or the red color. Also the name of my town and my flag are related with the sun.
