Toy day prep?

So, this is going to be my first year of playing it, but Im curious if I need to do anything before hand? To get ready.

Its only snowed once, snd no one has talked much about it. But Im seeing people making their islands look pretty for it with diys, but I havent gotten any like that,

But, is there anything I should be doing other wise?

You will need to shop at the able sisters over the month to collect the santa outfit ‘hat, top, bottoms, boots & beard’ to show jingle your dressed the part To hand out presents come toy day.

I get to hand out gifts?? That sounds like alot of fun!

I'm pretty sure the Able Sisters stock all the clothing on the day, so there's no need to hoard it all in advance ... Just wear it all before you speak to Jingle, and remember there are no shoes !! You can wear whatever footwear you like ...

One of Jingle's rewards is a DIY but you will need a cardboard box and 3 red wrapping paper to make it. Maybe buy these in advance if you want to craft one straight away ... It's also possible, though, to get the wrapping paper from a villager on the day, but I'm not sure this is guaranteed ...

Also, more of an advance warning, Jingle will also reward you with a piece of wall-mounted furniture ... Make sure to hang this up in your house on the 24th !!

And that reminds me, the presents you hand out for Jingle are chosen by the game automatically. However, after you've helped Jingle deliver his presents, you can also gift each villager yourself. Stock up on gifts to give them if you want, and keep in mind that furniture you give them may be displayed in their house long after Toy Day !!
