Is this something you'd want to be a thing? I can see why you wouldn't want it to happen because it would maybe make filling your museum less of a challenge, but then you still wouldn't be able to fill your encyclopedia without catching them yourself I assume, meaning there would still be a challenge there, just maybe you want to fill out some problem spots in your museum or trade for an event or something. I think it'd be neat if you could go up to another player and physically hand them a fish or bug - I don't think it would make sense to release them as an item on the floor or send them in a letter after all, haha - that would at least make it a little bit more difficult to trade these precious items which would provide an incentive for you to get them on your own. Thoughts?
Um I really don't know. I mean I would agree if you could only use the traded fish as a furniture or sell it. But I don't want it to appear on the encyclopedia, nor being able to give to the museum cuz...there would literally be no challenge. I mean for the museum it would be kinda cool if Blathers told you that the fish has to be from the city or else it doesn't "count" like, it has to be from the local river and all that u know. Sounds a bit weird but yeah.
I don?t think they?d do this, I also really hope they wouldn?t just because there?s a certain sense of accomplishment after catching tarantulas, scorpions, coelacanths, and the like that I feel trading would just get rid of.
Yeah, I don't think this would be a good idea either. If they can't be handed into the museum or registered in the encyclopedia, there would be little point except that rare fish would become a designer item within the trading scene. If they can, then the challenge loses all satisfaction.
