Trading Neighbors?

I see a lot of threads where people are trading villagers. I was just curious as to how that process works. I may want to get into that in the near future.

Basically, you get a villager to move out, and on their day of moving, {when they're in boxes}
the other person comes over and convinces the villager to move into their town.

After, the other person gives the villager to them when theyre moving. etc,

If one of your villagers in in boxes in their house, someone from another town can come and talk to them. They'll say "I would love to live in (town name)! Thanks for suggesting!" or something like that. Then the villager will move into that player's town, and you can do the same to their villagers.

Oh wow. I wonder who figured that out.

That's funny though that they're totally ready to move out but have no destination until you offer your town.

So it has to be ON moving day?

Yep. It has to be when they're in boxes inside their house.
