Transparent avatars

I just have a simple question,
How do I set my avatar to be transparent?
When I set an image with a transparent background to be my avatar, it ends up white instead.
Anyone know how to fix this?

you need to rezise the image to be the size of your default avatar - much like when you want to use a gif.
So either 100x100 or 100x150 depending on whether or not you have the extension. when you upload it it'll be transparent.

When you resized it, it probably lost its transparency
What did you resixpze it with?

Nevermind, it worked, I had to make it 150x100 not 100x150
