Trees not growing?

This is my orchard. I planted all of these trees on the same day, but for some reason some are stuck as saplings. What do I do to get them all to grow?

The day before yesterday, I'm pretty sure. The issue isn't that they're not growing, but that they're not growing at the same rate.

AC games are picky about tree growth. You'll need to eat some fruit and plant adult trees there manually.

Trees cannot be completely surrounded. It leads to some weird growth patterns. Plant inners first, then the outers, or plant the outers, then transplant fullgrown ones to the inner spots.

The trees can’t grow when surrounded. Transplant them (half grown trees can be dug up without needing to eat), let them grow, then transplant them again.
