Trying to get Pietro to move in? I need answers quick lol

I’m attempting to get the clown sheep to move in, and I’ve pestered him for hours on end and he finally accepted. My island is full so resident services said it’s full etc. he’s a random villager so from what I understand, he should be asking to kick out a villager, but he hasn’t asked too? Should I keep pestering? It’s fairly late at night and I’m worried he’ll disappear tomorrow. Please help!

After he told you it’s full, he should have asked you if there’s anyone he should ask to kick out. If that dialogue didn’t pop, what did he say after saying it’s full?

I can’t exactly remember what he said exactly but he was sad about it. Almost every time I talk to him he says “I can’t believe your island is so popular. It almost makes me NOT want to move here…Nah who am I kidding. I’m desperate to move here! So let me know the minute another plot of land goes up for sale.”

I thought that dialogue only popped up if your island was full and you were moving someone in via amiibo. If you time travel, I'd just set your switch clock back to after 5am on the date that Pietro is in the campsite, and try again tomorrow. I'm sure someone has his amiibo though, if you miss this one!

I remember someone else having a similar problem, try exiting the tent and re-entering. sometimes they can take forever to ask but he should eventually, do you have anyone in boxes (moving in or out) atm?

Thanks for the advice! It turns out my island wasn’t full like I thought! I bought another plot of land. Conveniently, Sheldon decided to move aswell! I have nothing against him, but I don’t mind him moving out so I don’t have the problem in the future!

I counted myself as one, and that threw me off! I’m good and he’s moving in!
