Okay. After some reading, re-reading and thinking I decided to make a new thread. (I had made a few five-ish years ago and was torn between making a new or using one of them)

But I was told it’d be okay to make a new thread and have seen that some others users have created a new thread. The museum guidelines also say
If you want multiple threads because of clutter, or separate subject matter than that's fine, but do not make it a huge habit.
So this will be where I’ll be posting fanfiction (If I ever decide to make a (new) Fanfiction account, them I’ll likely move them there. I’ll also be posting screenshot edits.

Update 20/5:
Artwork may also be posted, but as I am no artist, (well, disagree with being called one) this won’t really be the main focus anymore as it’s not really my favourite thing. So from now on most of it will just be to illustrate for a fanfic, make a joke or maybe a little situation I think would be harder, too short or not as fun to write a fanfic for

Here are some notes below regarding my artwork

  • I’m alright with whatever comments you’d like to make (as long as it’s not political,18+ nonsense or will get either of us in trouble).
  • I am aware my artwork could be less messy, I have done shading and cleaner lines in the past, but I prefer this for now. Less strain since I found it hard to stop myself before, besides, I personally prefer writing and editing. But you may still give advice if you’d like.
  • I do have a Deviantart account, but I have abandoned it and then put it on hold for now. So my artwork will just have my TBT account as a watermark for now. Unless I make an art account somewhere else or Deviantart is alright again.
  • I do not do requests, but you may suggest ideas if you wish.
  • Yes, you can use my artwork or edits as PFPs, avatar, account sig/decor, fanfic covers and such if you so desire. Just as long as it is not on anything 18+, political or made to get people angry, I don’t care

Other franchises I am in are Mario, MLP, Bluey and certain movies. So there may be a few crossover things.

Fanart with some Fanfiction to go with it

“Alright Celeste.” Said Celeste’s mother as she held the unpainted creation made of clay, placing it down on a green mat on the table, to protect it from her duaghter’s painting session. “Your dinosaur is ready!”

“Oh yes!” Nine year old Celeste exclaimed as she ran to the table with her paints, she could hardly wait! Her brother’s birthday was today and he loved dinosaurs! So she knew exactly what to do, a handmade dinosaur figurine to join his collection of them.
Forgetting her apron, which would not have made her mother pleased, Celeste brushed aside her clay and squirted down the paint she wanted. Grabbing her painbrush and painting the body. Inspired by the night sky, she started to paint small stars. Stars were far more interesting than the boring greys, browns, greens and what-not on his models. This one would stand out! Like the moon in the night sky.
The nose would be the moon, the large star behind the eye and the body being covered in stars! Her best shot at the night sky on a dinosaur! Once she was done, she placed it down, careful to not smudge the paint. “He’ll love it!”

“Oh Celeste!” Her mother cried. “Look at you, you’ve made a mess of yourself. This is why you need to wear your apron when you are painting.”

“Hoo?” Celeste looked at the smudges of dark purple and light on her feathers, she was so into her work that she had forgotten to be careful.

“Go clean up. Your brother will be here soon.” Her mother told her, who had went to do as told.

————————

“I’m home!” Blathers said as he entered the front door, his little sister running over.

“Blabbers!” She cried out, Blathers rolling his eyes slightly. Surely she’d grow out of that. He noticed the box in her wings as she passed it to him. “Happy birthday.”

“Hoo? Oh, thanks!” He said, grabbing the box with care and sitting down. Expecting something basic or generic that costed only a dollar or such. She was only nine, after all, learning to buy her own things and doing chores to earn money. He let out a gasp as she opened the box and picked up the figure. “Hoo it’s-“ He said, realising it did not look like any particular dinosaur. More like a mash up of two or three, or a cartoony looking one, at least. The paint was a little messy, the head was a little too big for its body. And there were likely no dinosaurs with a starry pattern on them, would be not the best camouflage. But maybe none of that mattered, his sister made him something for him with her clay and skills in her own time after all.

“Do you like it?”

“Hoo yes! A very unique dinosaur indeed, you are very creative!” Blathers smiled, she made this for him out of love. It was clear she cared and he knew the best place to put this for display!

Art for a crossover fanfiction (Will include MLP). I’m not exactly sure on the name yet

The island representative left the airport with a smile, Orville watching her leave before he looked back at the screen. If only she had seen how her friends had treated him, oh well, hopefully she wasn’t planning another event anytime soon. He felt bitter as he remembered the bitter, angry words of the bull, or the sassy duck. The comments ran through his mind. He was trying his hardest at what he did, but these guys were not helping.

”If you don’t hurry up and stop talking, I’ll make sure your beak is too sore to continue!” The bull had shouted as he slammed his hooves together. As Orville used the keyboard, he scoffed and sighed before looking up at the screen with his tired eyes, he just wanted to sleep this night away. He left out a yawn, getting a surprise as he opened his eyes again.

“Files deleted.” Said the screen as his heart skipped a beat. What did he just delete, he could feel his heart racing as he worked at the keyboard. He had accidentally deleted something before, but it was just a cat picture- But he was looking through important files here! He could have deleted something extremely important- He let out a gasp as he froze, opening his beak in terror, he deleted an important file. One that held important paperwork he had to send away.

”no, no no!” He sweated as he slammed and clicked, hoping to find a way to fix this. His heart racing, Wilbur was going to kill him! “Ugh!” He slammed his beak on the desk on frustration. “What do I do?”

When Wilbur returned, Orville couldn’t help but stare, there was silence as he stepped back. “Oh, you’re back.” He said, noticing he appeared to have been in a bad mood about something, judging from his expression. “How was the uh- Flight?”

”The one I despised all day? Between you and me, I hope the island Representative never invites that bull or duck back..”

”Y-yeah- Same-“

”Hold it, why do you look like you’ve just got a-“

”It’s all under control!” Orville tried to say with determination, eyes shifting to his computer and back.

”Doesn’t look to me.” He responded, going behind the desk, getting more suspicious when his own brother tried to stop him.

”Actually- I don’t-“ He said before noticing it was too late, he was already looking at the screen with the folders. Empty folders that was filled with important paperwork… All gone… “I can explain…”

He had never seen his brother so angry before when he was receiving his lecture. Then he paused.

“Wil?”

“Just go- You are dismissed, you probably need a break, anyway. I’ll hold the fort and clean the bogey.” He said in a very grumpy tone.

“You sure I can’t h-“

”No- You’ve done enough today…” He said, Orville gulping and removing his headphones and placing them on the desk before leaving. Taking one look back at Wilbur. “I don’t need you anymore.” He said, his heart dropping at his words before he left, standing in the cold air looking at the sun set. He really missed up and his brother was angry at him…. He sighed as he decided to go for a walk, maybe he could head and get some snacks for them both. He’d cool down soon, right? They made up quickly if there was ever something between them.

——

It was clear night, Orville placed himself under a tree and sat down, looking up at the stars. It was a meteor shower, which he would have liked to have watched with his brother. But returning to the airport did not go as well as he would have hoped, it wasn’t his brother this time, but instead someone talking to him as he worked at the desk in his place… The words of them both hurt, was he really that bad, according to the villager? Was It better for him to be replaced, he was often called annoying, so maybe… He didn’t need him anymore…

“Hey, are you okay?” A young red owl asked.

“Oh, hey Celeste…” He sighed, tears in his eyes.

“Why are you crying?”

”Nothing. I just really screwed up there and-“ He sighed. “My brother doesn’t need me anymore.”

“What!?”

”I ruined a bunch of hard work by deleting an important file. Wilbur got really angry and told me I wasn’t needed anymore- I thought it was just at the moment, b-but when I returned, I heard a villager say something about me- How it’s good that he’s getting rid of me- How I’m not needed anymore- I think I’m getting replaced… By someone better…” He cried.

“That can’t be right!” Celeste said before looking up st the sky, seeing a shooting star, she looked at it with awe as Orville sighed.

“I wish I could be really far away right now- I wish I wasn’t here!” He cried, the shooting star glowing, both birds gasping, no time to react before a portal appeared and started sucking them both in. With some quick thinking, he grabbed Celeste’s wing with one and the tree with the other. He gasped as his grip started to slip, tears started flowing as he cried out. “Oh drumsticks! Why do I keep doing stupid things today-“ He said before freezing in terror, what felt like slow motion when he let go of the tree, screaming as they were both sucked in, the portal shutting.

After tumbling through a cloudy area, that felt like a dream, both of them found themselves shooting through to the destination. He slammed into a tree while Celeste hit a puddle.

“Ugh!” He groaned as he got up, looking around him as he dusted himself off. Finding himself in a dark, murky looking part of the forest. The sky hardly being able to be seen through the thick trees, he shivered in the cool air as he looked around, heart racing. “Portal!?” He cried running around as Celeste glared at him. She was indeed angry, but remorse came as she watched him freak our, running in circles. “Where are we!” Where is the island! How do we get back! What do we do!?” She had to be optimistic for his sake.

“Hey!” She called out before he tripped over a root.

”We a dodooomed!”

”Not yet. Maybe there;s a village nearby.” Celeste said, “Maybe someone might be able to help.”

”Or I’ll just mess everything up… I keep making mistake after mistake after mistake.” He sighed as he sat up, looking at the ground. “I didn’t mean to make that wish- Now we are lost! I am such a-“

”Hey-Hey!” Celeste said, trying to calm him. “Isn’t your slogan ‘What would a dodo do? Or something? Well what do you think a dodo would do in this situation?”

”Mess everything up and make the situation worse, apparently.”

Celeste shook her head. “Look- Just standing here isn’t going to get us home. So let’s go!” She said, pulling him to his feet and walking on. She was scared of what these woods could hold. But she was not going to let that hold her back. Orville on the other hand, was shivering in fear, ridden with guilt as he walked on, making sure not to lose sight of her…

“I’m s-so sorry-“ He whimpered.

The second chapter of the MLP AC crossover. I’ll name it “Wished Mistake” for now, just to call it something

A character temporally hurts his leg, but nothing too serious.
Another character Celeste gets attacked and ends up injured and knocked out.
The two birds journeyed through the dark, gnarly woods. Celeste braving on, hoping to get to the end while Orville let out a yawn, a loud one. Of course, he was diurnal and didn’t have any coffee, he must be exhausted! She looked at him with slight concern, this was something strange about this forest and she couldn’t place a finger of it. But they must be getting somewhere, right? The trees weren’t as thick anymore, giving a good view of the sky. She gazed upwards, seeing the moon. Judging by the placement, it was almost midnight, were they here that long already? Her feathers had spots of filth and a few were slightly ruffled, but she wasn’t in as a bad of a state Orville was. He had a large prickle on his bottom, he only had just noticed and removed with a yelp. “Never thought I’d end up in this situation!” He whimpered, his feet covered in mud, his head feathers in a ruffled mess and his uniform having a stain on it. He gasped when he heard a loud noise, he looked to the side and gasped, seeing a large scaly tail in a bush.

“Celeste!” He whispered, looking at her and back towards where the tail was, only to see a log in its place.

”What?” She asked.

”N-nothing. Must have been seeing things…” He said shivering just seconds before walking into a big spider web, he let out a dodo noise and wiped it off his beak, the best he could before realising it was now stuck to his wing feathers. “Ugh! I think some of it is in my mouth!” He exclaimed, quickly running ahead to keep up, just seconds before a small insect landed on his wing. It was small and resembled a spider but with wings, he yelped when it bit him, shooing it away with his wing. “What was that!? The spiders can fly!?”

”Shhh!” Celeste shushed him. ”Careful, it’s a little slippery here.” She was careful with her steps, making sure to not slip or trip, the mud was slippery here, especially down the upcoming slope, the bottom hidden in darkness. But a certain dodo did not seem to get a memoir, the next thing she knew, he was tumbling down, having slipped forward, hitting the bottom of the slope with a hard thud. She quickly fluttered to the bottom, helping him up quickly, he struggled to get up and winced in pain.

“Are you okay?”

”Eaugh- My leg…” He whimpered as he held it up.

“Looks fine to me…” She responded and sighed, knowing it wouldn’t be good to push forward. He must have sprained his ankle. “But I suppose we could use a break. There!” She exclaimed finding a small cave, seemed it was not in use by any critters, thankfully, so she helped him over to it and helped him down, he let out a sigh as he closed his eyes.

“I can’t believe I got us into this mess…”

”And we’ll get out of it, together, okay?” She said calmly, concerned for him, Orville looked at her with a slight smile, he wasn’t good at walking in the forest. Clearly not with the pricklebush he managed to fall into earlier, or when he managed to get chased down by wasps, which stung him on the bottom. Could this get any worse? “Just take some rest. I’ll try and see if I can find something. Lie food or any kind of supplies.” She responded, hoping to find at least a food or water source nearby, if they were to survive, they needed to prepare. Hopefully there’s at least be some honey, fruit, nuts-or anything eatable! So she quickly flew out as Orville rested. She should be back by sundown, she had told him to call for her if he needed her.

Soon enough Celeste did manage to find a few small things, like some honey and a few nuts and seed. This was hardly a day’s worth, she let out a sigh as she started to walk towards the cave, soon hearing a low growling behind her. “Huh?” She questioned, her heart dropping at the sight her eyes met with. Head of a lion, wings of a bat, tail of a scorpion was this a… Manticore!? But it can’t be!? Celeste was met with the loudest roar she had ever experienced straight to the face, as soon as she could she lifted to the air, flaying as fast as her wings could carry her. Her heart was racing, her brain was processing a whole bunch of questions. But now she was ducking under branches, soaring over rocks and this monster was still after her. “Oh get lost!” She hooted back at it and kept racing, letting out a yelp when she gazed herself on a tree branch, but she kept soaring. She had to get back to Orville they could not be separated at a time like this. An idea shot into her head, she was not the best flier, but judging at its gaining speed, it was now or never. She soared straight up diagonally and did a tight dive back down into the forest, soaring through the small gaps between the branches, heart racing as she took another sharp turn, gasping when she heard the roar and crash of the failing Manticore behind her. Distracted by her flight, she ended up clipping herself against a branch and crashing into a hard tree, she let out a squeak as she got up, a stinging pain in her wing as she panted. “I-I can’t believe that work… I-I have to get back to Orville!” She exclaimed, her wing was unable to help her fly this time, so she decided to walk over, picking up her pace. Hopefully they could find some more food in the morning, but with a manticore hanging around, they’d have to be careful. She hopped over the log and hurried through the forest, hearing another roar, but unable to react in time before a part of the manticore slammed right into her, sending her flying into a tree and fainting to the ground below.

———

Wilbur woke up from his bed with a gasp, he groaned as he turned off his alarm. “What a strange dream…” he muttered, having a shower before getting dressed into his uniform before he noticed the lack of presence of a certain dodo. He owed him an apology over something with such an easy fix! All he head to do was enter the ‘recently deleted’ folder, not shout at him. Perhaps he was mad at him, too, or perhaps he woke up early to get to work. So he headed out of their bedrooms to where the main room of the airport was, “Morning, Orville I-“ He managed to say before noticing the empty desk, perhaps he had gone to get some coffee? Maybe they could talk over some coffee, so maybe meeting him at the roost wouldn’t be too bad of an idea. He can apologise, they can talk it out and it’ll be be back to normal. So he headed out to hoping to see him there. Only to leave the roost disappointed, but soon noticing something different in the museum foyer. Blathers was up? He was usually asleep at this time, he’s an owl.

“Oh, Blathers?” He noticed, “You are awake?”

”Oh-Hoo- Guess it’s a bit late-er-earlier than I realised.” He sighed. “Yes indeed, my sister and I were going to spend some tome together last night after she did some stargazing on this island, but she hadn’t shown up… I called her and all but… She never responded…. This is unlike her, hoo. I can’t help but feel worried, wot?”

“My brother’s missing too…” Wilbur said sadly, “We had gotten into an argument last night and I haven’t seen him all morning, or heard from him. I just want to apologise.”

“Hoo… Let me guess, he didn’t respond to any form of contact?” Blathers shivered.

”Not at all. It’s been hours.”

”Same… You don’t think…”

”Maybe we should look for them before we make any assumption first…”

___

”Isabelle!” Wilbur and Blathers shot into the resident services building just a few minutes before Isabelle were to make her morning announcements.

“Oh! Wilbur, Blathers! What brings you here, is everything okay?!”

”Orville and Celeste are missing!” Wilbur exclaimed, “You need to make an announcement, November Ocker Whisker!” Nook giving him a quick look as if to say ‘why do you keep speaking like that?’

“Me and my sister were meant to meet up last night. Not a word since, and I’ve been sending her messages for ages, hoo. My big brother instincts tells me something is really off.”

“I looked in every nook and cranny on this island-Except for Nook’s Cranny- But he never goes there!” Wilbur added. “Not even Kapp’n has seen either of them!”

“Missing animal report.” Isabelle gulped. “Understood…” He voice and expression were full of worry as the two birds stepped out.

“I know she’s perfectly capable, but It feels like something has really happened… Hoot…”

Wilbur looked at him and towards the airport, he had a bad feeling in his gut too. Besides guilt, he shouldn’t have shouted at him like that, but he wouldn't have ran away because of that? They have gotten in plenty of arguments before, but they always made up within a few hours. But not only was he missing, so was Celeste, he had flown her to the island and to another from time to time, but sometimes it’s Kapp’n who takes her to or from the island, or a friend of hers.

Could have something happened to them both at the same time? How? What could they do, surely there was something they could do to help!

“I guess there is not much else- I should head back and wait f--“ Blathers said before Wilbur tugged him.

”C’mon Sleepybottom Rock. We’ve got some Chalkie Lima Unicorn Echo Sierra to find!”

”Hoo what? Eh wot? Wot wot?” Blathers exclaimed.

The crossover might be put on hold. I am currently working on another fan fiction that mostly focuses on the dodos, but I will try to give other characters screen time as well.

It’s title (currently) will be “road to recovery”

Here’s the first chapter

Plane crash, the only death is a non-sapient goose, but Wilbur is in a bad condition
A character makes a few rude remarks about the situation, no hate on Zell, i just decided he’ll be an egotistic jerk
Orville sat at his desk, doing paperwork as usual. The sun was just rising, Wilbur was actually out flying his plane, to both witness the sunrise from the air and to just do some soaring around the mainland for fun. He wished he did have his pilot license, he tried to follow in his brother’s footsteps, but he had failed the test, embarrassingly. He couldn’t help but let out a sigh as he remembered that instructor slapping a big “F” on his forehead before storming off, the expression clear in his mind. It was his last test he needed before getting his license, bit he messed up! A familiar voice calling for him in hos headphones snapped him from his thoughts. He pressed the button and let out a gasp upon hearing Wilbur’s voice. “Mayday! Mayday! Do you copy!?” There was slight panic in his voice that shook Orville, his heart racing as he tried to ignore it and the loud smash sound that followed. “Mayday! Orville!” He shouted louder, obvious it sounded as if he was trying to not panic.

“Roger! Very clear-”

”Mayday! Mayday! Plane is going down, send the emergency n-“ the connection was cut short after a loud, sudden crash noise, his heart skipping a beat upon hearing nothing but static, nothing else.

“Dodo One! This is Dodo Tower! Wilbur-Do you copy!? Do you copy!?” Orville could feel the sweat of nervousness forming as he whimpered, no response. “Wilbur!” He gasped, his heart racing, quick to his computer, knowing exactly what to do. Wilbur prepared him for this moment, making him do an annual drill. This was all he could do and there was no time to lose, he got hold of the emergency line and sent them the location of Wilbur's plane, his heart racing and body sweating the whole way through. Then he paused as soon as he was done, there was nothing much he could do now, it was now all in their hands. His heart was racing as he whimpered as he shakily looked at the screen, it was all so quick. But he did it, he was shaking as he sat on a stool he hardly ever used. Taking in deep breaths, trying to calm and recompose himself, thinking on what on earth just happen. It was so fast and he was so shaken. There was no warning beforehand, he just had so many questions. What happened to his plane, how’d he crash? Most importantly, was he hurt? Maybe he didn’t respond because his headset was damages? He just hoped Wilbur was okay out there.

All he could do was sit there and wait, choosing to sit on a stool he rarely used. His heart was racing as he stared at the screen, wing shaking a little, his bother was in danger. There was nothing he could do now. He whimpered a little, just hoping it wasn’t too bad. Ten years of experience after two years of training, he remembered that day when he left to start his training, not Long after graduation. Despite all that experience he… He did it… Surely it can’t be that bad, right? Maybe there was a system error, or a bird collision, he knew how much Wilbur would despise to hit a bird in the air…

”Palm Bay airport, come in! Do you copy?!” A voice from the microphone sounded from the emergency crew, snapping him from his thoughts.

”Roger I copy!” Orville exclaimed, trying to keep his composure the best he could, despite being close to crying.

”We are at his location, we got him out the plane! Getting him to the hospital.”

”Is-is he-“

”He’s alive but in critical condition, I believe I can’t say too much, but he crashed into a boulder, i recon’ a dead non-sapient goose had something to do with it.” The crew member said in a serious tone. “He’s not breathing too good, either, I reckon’ we came just in time.”

”Roger! C-can I visit him?” Orville gulped, his blood went cold at the words.

”Negative! But we will let you know of any updates.” The voice said before hanging up, leaving Orville alone, trembling as he tried to keep his composure. Now it was time to send his boss a message, he had to know what happened…

——

Tom Nook’s eyes widened as soon as he opened his phone after hearing a ding. “What is it, Tom?” Asked Isabelle, noticing his reaction.

“Isabelle, I have something you’ll need to add in your morning announcement…” He spoke glumly, Isabelle knowing by his expression and voice that this was no happy announcement.

“Of course.” She said, reading the message from his phone, feeling dreadful at each word, she put a hand to her mouth, she had never thought anything like this would happen.

“Today it’s 6.30 AM in Palm Bay, the weather is clear but- I have a very important-but dreadful announcement ti make.” She paused, preparing herself, “We’ve just gotten a message that earlier this morning, the pilot of our airport, Wilbur has had an accident in his plane. He’s in the hospital right now and there will be a temporary pilot on his way to fill Wilbur’s duty until he recover. So please be extra kind to both him and Orville about this situation, I wish Wilbur a speedy recovery and hope Orville is coping alright. We will update if we get anything.” She said sadly before turning off the microphone, looking at Tom with concern. This was not the kind of news she wanted at all, she had so many questions. But Orville likely already told him everything he could and was comfortable in telling them.

She also wondered on how the rest of the island would react to the news. Neither of the dodos were really spoken much about unless someone was heading somewhere. But she just hoped no one would be rude about it, she tried to shake the feeling, she knew everyone on the island. But something was just telling her that something was not right.

—-

“Sable!” Mabel exclaimed as she held her phone, sitting on a stool of her own near the sewing machine. Where Sable was reading a novel about a mystery regarding a detective. Mabel honestly found it boring, but it was a surprise she was into it, she knew her favourite character was the dressmaker.

“What is it, Mabel?” She asked, looking up from her book, noticing her worried expression.

“I just got a message from Tom Nook….” She sighed with concern, “Wilbur crashed his seaplane this morning-According to Orville he’s in hospital and flights will be operated temporally by someone else!”

Sabel looked at her shocked, slowly taking out her own phone and reading the exact same message. “Oh… No…” She worriedly looked down, she never had spoken with either of the dodos much, but it just pained her to see such news. She couldn’t help but worry for them both, it must have been terrible. “Oh poor things…” She whispered, feeling dread and fear…

Soon enough a customer walked in.

”Oh, hello, Victoria!” Mabel greeted, her expression not going unnoticed by the peppy sporty horse. She didn’t live on the island, but she did often come over for a few days to spend time with her cousin, was it?

”Oh! This is a bad time, isn’t it?”

Both hedgehogs were silent before Mabel spoke up. “I suppouse you haven't read the news?”

“Oh! The message from Tom Nook? My cousin told me about it-Oh-Oh!” She gasped, ”Now I know why you’re so gloomy! The plane crashed!”

“I know, can you imagine doing something you love and then boom! You’re in the hospital!” Mabel exclaimed, clearly worried, “Right sis?” She asked Sable who only sighed.

“What will happen now?”

“Wait for an update, I guess… I hope he’ll be okay.” Mabel said, looking out the window briefly, just thinking a fellow worker on this island was in hospital, badly hurt, he was a hard worker, like her own sister. She then gazed at Sable, she couldn’t imagine her in hospital injured, it would be unbearable! She couldn’t imagine having to wait if either of her siblings would be okay!

Outside in a park near a cliff were a few villagers talking.

“Have you gotten the message!?” Victoria exclaimed as she ran over, concerned expression.

“Oh yes, it’s terrible news on what happened.” Margie nodded.

”How could we not?” Flo the Penguin shrugged, “The speakers sound it across the island, for starters, and we do have an island newsletter on our phones-No surprise, since you don’t live here.”

“I couldn’t believe my ears!” Added Tangy. “This so so tote bad!”

”Hey ladies, what’s up?” Asked Zell the deer as he walked over to them, “Ready for a little, Zell?”

”Of course you didn’t get the news.” Flo shrugged as Tangy explained, all of them gasping in shock when he star;ted laughing.

”Someone is hurt and in hospital and you start laughing!?” Exclaimed Tangy.

”He must’ be very hurt” Margie responded.

”I-I’m sorry.” Zell stopped, “Didn't he like have ten years of experience or something?”

”Yes!” Tangy smiled, “I tried to ask him about it but-he said it’s classified.”

“Ten years of experience and crashed? Doesn’t sound too good to me. Maybe it’s time for him to retire,”

”Zell!” Flo exclaimed.

”How could you say that!?” Margie gasped, “Maybe he did try what he could and still-“

“I’ve flown with him so many times-and I assure you he’s right for flying!”

”How do you know it was his fault, honestly?” Flo asked, “All we could know, a bird strike, or someone messing with his plane could have damaged it without noticing-maybe don’t jump to conclusions without any evidence.”

”Sorry, but I’m just being honest here.” Zell informed them, “I mean, I only have four months of experience and I’ve never crashed-Perhaps I’m the more reliable one here.”

”That’s not how it works.” Flo eyed him.

”If you have nothing nice to say, then maybe it’s better for you to go. We are worried for a member of out island community-Of course we’d be at least some bit worried if someone here were to get hurt.”

Zell scoffed and walked down the path, “They’ll see…”

Early chapter two

Orville sat at his desk, a comic in his wing as he tried to think positive about the situation, only to let out a groan. He just didn’t feel as motivated today, he just felt more tired and depressed. He just wished he could have done something, like freeze time like a superhero! But that was not possible.

“Orville Dodo!” Screamed an unfortunately familiar voice as he flinched. He looked up to see another flightless bird, an emu, taking his brother’s place for the time being. His name was actually Pinfeather, his parents had wonderful name ideas, call him that and you were bound for a slap…”Are you reading comics!?”

Orville looked at the comic and put it down, “Roger, Pin. But I assure you I am standing alert and ready to serve!” He saluted proudly.

“No comics!” He grabbed the comic, “This is not your off-time, get to work!”

He opened his beak, looking apologetic, “B-But Wilbur lets me read if I don’t have any work left to do…”

“Well! I’m not Wilbur!” He shouted before he let out a breath and sighed, quickly grabbing something out of his inventory and tossing down a book about the history of planes on the desk, speaking in a more softer tone. “At least make it educational, like this! We don’t want workers slacking off in an airport-never good.”

“Aw man- I mean, affirmative!” He exclaimed before he walked through the gate and behind the airport, he couldn’t help but feel annoyed by Pin. The airport on this island was never that busy, not as busy as the large one on the mainland he worked at. “Ugh-I wish Wilbur was here…” He muttered, looking at the clock, knowing his break would be here soon, deciding to read the boring book to try and pass time. Sure, it would not be boring if he didn’t know much about the history of planes and such, but considering he and his brother were named after whoever flew the first plane-he already knew a lot about it.

When the much anticipated break time finally arrived, he quickly took off his headset amd placed it on his desk, quietly making his way to the door, just imagining what Pin’d say, maybe yelling at him to be back on time. He let in a breath of air, looking up at the sky, sometimes on their break, Wilbur would do some skywriting. Well, he called it skydrawing, but there was none of it today, for obvious reasons. He let out a sad sigh as he walked to the beach, being stopped in his tracks by a deer and a cat.

“Oh it’s you!” Rosie exclaimed as Zell looked concerned but remained speechless, “How is he?”

“I don’t know… I don’t know anything new, I told Tom all the important details-I’ll let him know if there’s any important updates.” He said, rather monotonously. Only Zell following him as he walked to the beach, he was never this scared for his brother since the time he was bitten by a tarantula. In fact he was the most scared for him he had ever been.

“So, when he gets out of the hospital and all-Who will be the island pilot? This new dude, or perhaps-moi?”

“What?” Orville looked towards him slightly, wondering if he heard right. Why would he ask who’d be the pilot, Wilbur, obviously, they wouldn’t replace him, right?

“I mean, we only need one pilot here, right? What will happen to the new guy?”

”Go back to flying at his usual job, why?” Orville asked in a bit more of a bitter voice than he wanted, but he couldn’t help but imagine. Was Zell seriously thinking they’d replace Wilbur with Pin!? Pin was not really the guy he’d want to go along with, he was far more used to the busier airports you’d see on the mainland. Dodo Airlines just sent whoever they could over until Wilbur healed, which meant sending Pin, he’d hate to work with Pin for any longer.

“So, he won’t be replacing him, I mean, he did crash? Wouldn’t we want to trust a pilot who had never crashed before, I’m sure I can fly a plane, I can assure you that I have never crashed a plane in my life-Well, a real plane.” Zell explained, sounding very serious in his talk, joking about Pin replacing Wilbur would not have been so bad-but being serious about it?

Orville could feel his blood boil, but he still kept his cool. “Aaaaaand- What makes you think a plane is so easy to fly in? What makes you think Wilbur isn’t reliable because of one incident? He has years of experience, while you have none, if you want to be a pilot like him, you’ve got a lot to learn.”

“Years of experience and he still crashes!?” Zell laughed.

“Of course your smug brain won’t understand…” He said before walking to the beach and sitting down under a palm tree and letting out a sigh. “I hope you’ll be right, Wilbur…” he said, resting his tired eyes as he rested up against the palm tree. Zell was really getting on his nerves, he wouldn’t want to admit. But he wasn’t a huge fan of Zell, especially not the way he treated him one time, exclaiming stress was just an excuse and he could do the job better. He was hardly able to sleep that night. Yes, the airport does run 24/7, but while they aren’t working, an alarm sounds to inform them that a customer is wanting them-which is extremely rare late at night, only a few times he was woken late at night to attend to his desk.

Pin was drinking a cup of coffee and let out a groan when he saw the empty desk, remembering Orville was having his afternoon break by now. This airport worked a lot different to the big one, desks were hardly ever empty. There were animals, luggage and such everywhere, you could not be too careful, there was no room for mistakes. But his job was just as stressful, daily, he flew large planes, hundreds relying on him and his co-pilot for safety. Who was the one who actually had the idea of him having the temporary job at this island, telling him it might be relaxing for a while. He’d have less pressure to deal with, noticing he was really stressed out after a mistake he had made last month.

Orville woke up with a slight gasp as he opened his eyes, looking around and noticing the sun set, that caused him to jump with a gasp, realising he had dozed off, Pin was going to be so angry with him for slacking off! Not even Wilbur would be happy about this, he winced at the thought of him getting angry at him for a mistake, he had before. He knew was sure to be getting a lecture of some kind when he headed back, but there was no use trying to avoid it. He ran as fast towards the airport as he could, as fast as his legs would carry him. He did not stop running until he ran into the airport, stopping in his tracks, where Pin was standing with a very displeased expression. This must be his time to explain.

“I’m sorry- I was walking and then I sat down, I meant to rest-but I slept-I didn’t mean to sleep, I promise- It just happened And I-I’ll make up for it!”

There was a moment of silence as Pin stared at Orville, who was feeling more guilty as seconds went by. He was half an hour late, after all, he could be thinking of a suitable punishment. Disappointing his co-workers-or anyone was heavily unsettling. But much to his surprise he was rather accepting.

“I’ll let you off lightly this time-only because you are carrying a load-due to the current situation. But I want you to catch up on any lost work tomorrow., even if it’s just cleaning up”

He was honestly surprised at how easy he was let off. He was expecting more paperwork, or having to tidy the rest of the airport. The lobby was his job the clean while everywhere else was usually Wilbur’s. Barring their bedroom, of course they both had their own responsibility for their own half. ”Oh-Roger!Thank you Sir-I will be more careful next time…”

”I don’t want this happening again, either. Don’t go thinking I’ll be so easy on you next time!” Pin warned.

”Roger!” Orville exclaimed, opening his computer and letting out a slight sigh, there was yet any update on his brother. He knew the hospital was serious in their work, but surely they should have stabilised his condition now? His heart started racing at the thought of the worse, what if Wilbur… It can’t be-If he did they’d have told them. Maybe they just want to monitor him before sending any update? Maybe it's some type of bad connection, surely! Maybe it was just struggling to be sent? He just wanted any kind of news on his brother. He could feel his heart racing at the incoming thoughts. He might never see him again, and his last words to him would be telling him to call the emergency crew!

“Orville?” A voice asked at the desk.

He quickly regained his composure and greeted, “Hey, hey! Welcome to airport-Oh, hey Tangy! What can I do for ya?”

”I heard what Zell said earlier…”

”You did?’ He asked before sighing, “I wonder what had gotten into him, like seriously? Why would we want to replace Wilbur over a small claimed, mistake? His his flights with passengers are much more safer, not that he’s reckless, he takes safety seriously the second he hops on, but he sure doesn’t do skydrawing and such with a passenger with him, ya-know?” He shrugged and sighed, “It just wouldn’t be right to toss him aside.”

”I agree-It’s like totes his thing!” Tangy exclaimed, “But I’m sort of worried… What if he would want to quit! We can’t let him do that!”

”He would never!” Orville exclaimed, shaking his head, “He sure would want to take breaks-But he wouldn’t quit his job, he loves flying!”

”Oh thank goodness,” Tangy let out a sigh of relief, “I feel so much better hearing that out of your mouth-eh-beak! He’s like a staple of our community-Of course if he wanted to, I’d respect it-But hey! Him getting back up to do what he loves totes makes me happy!”

“I’m glad to hear!” He exclaimed, “Especially after Zell’s rude remarks!”

Pin quietly listened onto the two of them talking about Wilbur, he rolled his eyes slightly. This was rather off-topic, he wanted to give him a shouting to only talk about work but he stopped himself. Just seeing the marks under Orville’s eyes and seeing him smile slightly sort of make the airport less tense. They seemed to have been doing a good job together, actually, despite Wilbur’s use of the phonetic alphabet and jargon, and Orville’s chatterbox behavior, they both seemed competent enough. He was honestly worried that day two years ago when they were chosen to work together on the island, but someone would have said something by now if it didn’t go to plan.

Once Tangy left, he walked in behind the desk, Orville looking nervous for a few seconds before he spoke. “That Zell guy doesn’t sound very respectful, does he?”

Orville shook his head, “Yeah, he can be rather full of himself sometimes…” He said, exchanging more words until Tangy left.

”He really sounds full of himself.” Pin commented.

”Yeah… He thinks Wilbur’ll be replaced by you-Or anyone else… He’s just been kinda rude about the whole thing Ya’know?”

“Don’t let him get to you. I have no intention of taking Will’s place permanently, you brothers work so well together, it’s a pleasure to work with this you know and Love. Don’t let anyone take that joy from you.” Orville let out a small smile before he heard a loud ding, he eyed the computer noticing a new email. ”Anyway. I believe you have gotten a message.” Pin spoke in a serious tone, glaring at him, “You should have a look.”

Orville quickly walked behind the desk and put his headset back on before attending to hid computer. Clicking into the email, a smile forming as he read though, not noticing Pin’s slight smile, which was something rare for him. Finally, an update, he had been waiting for so long! But it was not the kind he was expecting, it was great that they managed to save him, but he was not awake yet? Or in a good condition, but thankfully he’d be able to visit the next day, just hopefully he’d be awake. He just wanted to give his brother a hug, to talk to him, to see him okay! “He’s alive!” He cried with joy.

There’s going to be around 13-15 chapters as of now, turning out to be a little longer than expected. Maybe a few “Extra chapters” that are optional to read
