Apparently if you leave autosave on, it "wipes your entire switch" somehow.
He just mentions it in passing at 9:40.

Anyone have more details?

First time hearing that, this is what I found about it ^

My game actually crashed on me in the wild area when I was playing just a little while ago :/ It said there was an error and it had to close. I was able to start it again without any apparent issue but it's still a pretty lame bug to be in the game. Funnily though I don't think autosave had anything to do with my crash because I turned that off right at the beginning because I hate autosaves. Lol

I got a crash in a Pokecenter, same error message popped up. I had to restart my Switch to get it going. Was crapping myself since I remember there was a Pokecenter error in X/Y (before it was patched) which wiped your save data.

T'was fine though. I had just saved the game and put it into sleep mode. Could be an error with continuing the game from sleep mode, could have just been "one of those things". I quite often put games into sleep mode rather than turning them off though, so I've been making sure to save before doing so since then.

This was posted on Reddit pokemon and Switch 6 days ago.
Here is a link to Reddit pokemon and with information.

Checked and my MicroSD cards were ExFat. My husband copied the SD card data to the PC and than formatted the card to Fat32. Once that was done he copied it back to the card.

From what I read it's the switch console and not the Pokemon game. If you leave it on EXFat you might lose your screenshots and may have to download your digital games.

I bought the games but still haven't played them. Glad I saw posts before starting them.

I saw a thread on Twitter that says this glitch only effects those that have hacked their consoles, not sure if it's true or not but it might ease some anxeities.

When it first started posters thought it was hacked consoles only. More players reported and their systems weren't hacked.

Some had auto save turned off and their games crashed.

Shortly after I started, I got a message that said there was an error and had to shut down. Would you call that a crash? That just took me back to the last save.
