I don't get turnips every week because I am usually in church Sunday morning, but this week I had stayed home due to sickness so played a bit while the family was away and got some turnips. Wouldn't you know it, this is the week that Tom would decide to give me bad prices.

Does anyone have good prices today so that I can at least sell my turnips without a loss. I purchased at 99 bells each.

Hope you are able to sell your turnips at a profit.

On the issue of not always being able to play at particular times: you are able to get around this if you are willing to change the time on the wii.

Go into the wii menu, settings, calendar and change the clock back to the date & time you want: usually a short time AFTER you last played.
Then load the game, the game picks up the date/time from the wii and you will be in the time you have set.

The game does not see this as time travel, there are no ingame consequences.
You cannot go back over a past save (ie you can't play a time you have already played) if you do, the game knows you have TT.
The ingame clock and the wii clock remain in sync.

If you change time with Rover at the front screen you are changing time within the game, and the game will know you have TT and give you the TT consequences.

Changing time on the wii means you are able to do all the ingame things that you want to do at a time you are able to do them.
I've done this from Feb 2009, (prior to that I played in real time)
No consequences so long as you follow the rules and be careful to change the time on the wii correctly.
My turnip prices with Nook follow normal price patterns and I am able to buy a red turnip from Joan every week.
You do not have to be in 'real' time ingame to get DLC nor to visit other people's towns.

The disadvantage is you will be in the past, and your wii will not show real time (just change it back if you need it to).
You need to keep a written note of when (date & time) you last played & saved the game, so you know what to turn the wii clock back to.

It is simple, not really time travel, does not give you any ingame advantages apart from freeing you up to play the game as and when you can.

I know how to time travel, I am just not willing to do it often because I feel it to be a bit of a cheat for me. I will time travel for certain things (like the New Year Shirt), but to do so all the time gives me no challenge to be on at those specifiic times.

Thanks for the advise.
