Do you think they will have just option of TV or handheld to play the game?

I have a feeling that the handheld will act like an inventory portal as you play it on the TV..I just don't know how everything else will fit if its just handheld only.

Like other switch games, I don't see why you couldn't play it docked or in handheld mode?
I just don't see it happening as the way you have it listed. There are some who would prefer to just play their switch in handheld.

The switch doesn't really work like that. I think your thinking of a Wii U. The switch is kinda like a tablet looking device that has a dock station. When in the dock, you'll play on the TV. And when it's out, it's in handheld mode. You cant do both at the same time which is what I think you were describing.

So playing on the TV wont make the handheld an inventory portal because the device will be in the dock.

I’m just excited about this entry being able to have the best of both worlds in terms of portability! Animal crossing has always been better as a portable experience imo, but with nl i missed being able to have it on tv when I wanted it so I’m excited about this being the perfect blend!

The Switch is either docked or in handheld mode. No in between! It'll be fully functional in both modes. Playing docked can be annoying in some games, like Pokemon Let's Go, because they make you use a certain type of controller. I don't think AC:S will work like that, though. Most games you can use any controller on and it wouldn't make sense for an AC game to need like, motion controls, or something.
