Hi everyone :)

I started playing AC:NL around this time last year, but due to, well, life, I stopped playing :(
Now I've decided to start over, properly, so I demolished my town and made a new one. The reason I made a new one is that I've done some actual research this time (about how to quickly gain bells in-game, how to do roads and stuff). ..that, and I accidentally sold my bug catching net. I guess that was just the final straw.

Anyway, my town is in its first day now, and I've just paid off my luxurious tent.

I'm 28 years old, female and I live in Belgium (Europe).

I plan to implement the "Beautiful Town" ordinance, so I'm aiming for a very flowery ethereal town.

My friend code is in my profile, in case anyone wants to be friends =)

Hi Zulehan :)

My villagers are: Dottie, Sterling, Daisy, Big Top and Del.
Sterling has got to be my favourite at the minute, he's a freaking KNIGHT :D

Hey, welcome to tbt! Yeah, I can see how getting a fresh start on your town can be nice. It's hard to get back into the swing of it without restarting once you've been gona for a long time. *cough* like when i got pokemon x *cough*

Ha, Pok?mon, now there's a franchise I've finally realised I've outgrown. And I don't mean by age or anything, it just doesn't interest me anymore and I really don't care about the upcoming remakes of ruby and sapphire. I still admire people who are really good at Pok?mon, though, and I do enjoy watching competitions and all that.

But starting now, my life will be a lot more relaxed, so I should have a lot more time on my hands for AC :)

Also, Tinkalila, I LOVE your signature!! "They/them pronouns only" is a brilliant and loving statement and I can only toot that horn even louder!

Yeah, I think the reason Pok?mon is not nearly as endearing to me as Animal Crossing is that once I beat the whole story, all there would be is trading and competition. Since I do not care for competition, that leaves trading, which does not have much re-play value, heh.

By the way, your avatar makes me wonder: what version of AC is your favorite?

I can't quite relate, once I'm interested in something, you can bet it's never going away. It's kind of a problem, actually, haha. I'm glad you've found that you prefer AC, though! AC is really a wonderful series that I think anyone can enjoy.

Thank you, about my signature! I'm not really sure what you mean by my pronouns being a brilliant and loving statement, but if you're implying that those are your preferred pronouns as well / you also are not a binary gender, then it's nice to meet another non-binary individual.

To answer both questions in one post:

Heh, I've been letting go of a lot of obsessions lately. My Little Pony (been collecting since.. ..forever, actually.), Barbie, Pok?mon cards.. it just suddenly overnight seemed like rubbish to me. I'm not saying it *is* rubbish, it wasn't rubbish to me when I was into it, but I just want to get rid of all these things now. Oh well, out with the old, in with the new? :)

Pok?mon kind of.. ..yeah no I was never into competitions, and indeed, trading gets old real fast. My fav AC game is New Leaf. My ONLY AC game is New Leaf :p I chose this avatar because my Mayor character has that face and hair in New Leaf :)

I myself identify as female, which happens to be the same as my physical gender, but I know many people who are non-binary or trans. I just like people, and have no issues addressing someone with male genitalia as "she", or a she as "they". (these examples are arbitrary, of course). I assume people will tell me if I use the wrong pronoun, and I'll remember to use their preferred one instead in the future. No big deal, right :)

I hate to be picky, but I'm specifically a little offended by the part that says "or a she as "they"". If they tell you to address them as a they, then they are not ever to be referred to or thought of as "she", even when explaining that they are trans and/or nonbinary to someone else.

Better terms to use are "afab" and "amab". (Assigned female at birth, and assigned male at birth)

Apologies, no offense was intended. It's difficult as an "outsider" to not make mistakes like that. I had never even heard of the terms afab and amab, but that definitely helps me to avoid making such mistakes. So let me rephrase that:

I have no difficulties (especially from now on) to address someone who was afab, with the pronoun "they". Is that better?
