Uh, quick question about Balloons...

Honestly, it has been a while since I played and I don't remember much about them, but which side of the island do they spawn from if the river mouths are both in the south? I could have sworn I just saw a balloon heading south and I could have sworn they only come from the left or right...

I think it deals with night and day. I believe they come from the right at night and left during the day. Or the other way around.

Also they avoid buildings and really high structures.

Hmm, maybe it just spawned really low because my beaches in the south stick out really far and it hit the Airport, which caused it to travel south. Currently night, so it had to have come from the right.

Balloons spawn from the east or west. It depends on the time of the day. Just look at the direction of the chimney smoke.

Balloons will travel south as long as there something blocking its path as it flies.

Yeah, I'm remembering things bit by bit.. though I do hope there's no smoke to indicate things.. since people are still in tents. That would be... not good. XD

I think it is swapped depending on hemisphere, but I'm not really sure on that.

I was thinking the same thing which is why I mentioned it but I'm not sure either! But just wanted to add that I am in the northern hemisphere for reference!

As am I. I think I just witnessed my balloon spawning really far south from the right side of my island and it hit my Airport and started travelling south to go around it and when I came across it, it caught me off guard because I couldn't remember much about how Balloons worked, lol.

I have double south facing river exits and a left dock my balloons spawn from left to right during the day and right to left during the night

Depending on a random number generated when you create the town, your balloons with spawn from East to West, or West to East in the first half of the day, and the exact opposite during the second half of the day.

Whether or not the balloon is North or South depends on where you were standing when it spawned.
