Ultimate Dream Town Tourney: Round 1b- Zen Towns

Welcome back to another Ultimate Dream Town Tourney poll!

Today we will be comparing two Zen towns head to head in a poll for anyone to vote in. The following towns are...

Mayor Cyote's Redwall

Alright, here are the following rules for voters:

-No bias against user's towns, use your best judgement!
-You must visit BOTH towns for a fair poll.
-Try and look around the entire town to pick up the collective theme.
-If this is your town, you may vote for your own.
-Please vote based on the category.
-Most of all, have fun!

Cyote, I like your town name. (After the Redwall books,right?) I really really loved your mayors house! The starship theme was laid out quite well & each room was fun to look at. I was disapointed your other 2 homes were small & didn't have much decoration in them. I like the lay out of your town and the paths you used. Maybe organize your flowers? They were everywhere and sometimes I wasn't sure where to walk. Overall, I liked your town & defintely got a "Zen" feel from it. Good job!

Yvaine, hmm I liked parts of your town. I like how your villagers houses were lined up in a row. The path you used was ok looking. I didn't really get a "Zen" feel though,overall. There was huge chunks of land/forest with nothing in it or a random pwp all by it's lonesome.

Hey in-a-pickle, do you have a list of all of the dream codes for all of the towns that are part of these polls somewhere? I missed some of the polls but I still want to check out the towns, and it'd just be nice to have them all in one place. Or at least links in 1 place!

Visiting dream towns always feels like it takes so long and thus I only visit them on weekends I'm not busy, thus why I have been missing these polls. I have a lot of time this weekend so was hoping to visit a lot of dream towns at once! I can also write down which ones I like for when the future polls come up.

Redwall -> great use of the bamboo and the zen streetlight. I think having the light all over town ties up the zen theme. Flowers could be a little bit more organized as there were bald patches on one side and a bunch of flowers on the other. I like the path that you used, and the interesting contrast of your main house from the zen theme. overall good job.


Starlake -> erm.. I didn't see any zen-related PWPs (If there are, sorry I missed them). Paths also need a bit of work. Zen theme was overall lacking, but I really like your town layout! Keep up the good work.

So glad everyone likes my town! It makes me so happy. I'm sure I had a plan with the flowers, but then I forgot what it was. The paths are Amykins' designs, she's got a lot of absolutely beautiful designs. Ya'll should check them out over in the Able Sisters' forum.

Redwall: I liked your town very much. I definitely got a zen feel from it, but one thing I will say is I didn't care too much for the flower placement. They kind of just felt like they were thrown there without any planning.

Starlake: You're town was nice, but it felt very barren. More trees and PWPs would definitely spruce your town up.

I hoped to have had more Zen PWPs requested by the time the contest came round, but I didn't (and actually still don't!!).... I hardly have any Zen requests, only what is in my town (clock, town hall, house which are all in my dream town) booo

I have no plans to 'spruce up' any so called barren areas (and I hate too many trees too so there will definitely not be any more of those) as I haven't had the projects requested that I want to fill them yet and of course no villagers have moved in to create 'something' in them (all villager placement is natural, luckily they all stayed within the same places as previously moved ones). I like my path as I only want a one-square design, cannot be bothered with all the 9 square ones and they take up too much precious grass (what's left of it).

Also, I wasn't aware I had random PWPs, there are paths to them all and none are in the areas with no villagers (or were when they were placed, villagers obviously move out and leave them stranded).
