Unlocking furniture/decorative items on HHP

Hi guys,
I'm trying to figure out the mechanics of unlocking the items we decorate vacation homes with. I know that the theme of the house will unlock items related to it(I also noticed that some villagers have the same theme). Is there a point at which all available items are unlocked? I'm not talking about the items in our personal nook catalog I mean the new items we get to use only on hhp until we get them for ourselves. Like do you have to decorate a set number of houses or do you only get items based on who you choose to decorate? There are items I really want to be able to decorate with that I have seen others use and it would suck if there is a possibility I'll be able to use them just cause I didn't pick the right villagers. It's inevitable that there will come a point when you have unlocked everything but that would involve designing most, if not all, villager's homes !! If you're looking for a certain item, this spreadsheet lists who unlocks what. It's a big spreadsheet, just just search for whatever item you're looking for. Bear in mind that items can be unlocked by multiple villagers ...
