I haven't played my island in year except to participate in Bell Tree contests so let's see how messy everything has become, shall we?

Day 1: The mail has piled up. There was so many letters to open and even a few gifts from mom. The house has cockroaches in each room. I kinda like them so I didn't squish them. Carry on bug friends. Most of my island is covered in paths or items so weeds don't have many places to pop up but there was plenty of split marks on the ground in the baseball field. It needs a revamp along with the area infront of Nan & Azalea's houses. The bulletin board hadn't been checked in a long time so the little yellow birds all lined up along the top of it.

Day 2: My island has a farming vibe in some areas but then as you start to explore, there's also a run-down town feeling to it. Along the beach to the south west I have built a small shipping port. If you travel farther north, the more abundant the flowers & trees become. Originally everyone was suppose to be a rabbit but I ended up enjoying too many villagers from other species, especially Mac and Nan.

Day 3: Gotta love the decorative spilled sour cream & onion chips. They are not for eating. They are purely aesthetic. I seemed to have crafted many garbage bag items last year when I was busy decorating. I keep running in circles not knowing what to do next. I have decorated this island corner to corner so it's no wonder why there is a bit of lag. I can't restart though because this is my original island from when ACNH was released. Do you know how long it took to place all these paths? Too long to give up now.

Day 4: The snow has melted in real life so I needed it to be also gone in Animal Crossing. I ended up time travelling to February 25th because according to google, that's when the grass comes back. The grass is a green yellow-ish dead colour but it'll brighten up soon.

Just incase anyone is curious, here is the outside of both the houses I've built on the island. The first one is for my main character Noah and then the second house is my partner Elliott's. Technically he started that character & house but never finished the inside or decorated the outside so I took over. The area around Elliott's house is dedicated to fishing so I'll show you more of that tomorrow.

Day 5: I had almost forgotten what the inside of Elliott's house looked like. Here's a peek at two of the rooms, the first being the main room and the second is a bathroom.

To the left of Elliott's house down along the beach is a fishing set up. So basically I threw a bunch of stuff down and said "good enough". Hopefully everyone gets the vibe.

And then I went and checked what the bro's were doing. Not much, as per the usual. Also everyone refused to sit still for any pictures, except for Claude. I appreciate that guy.

Day 6: Ruby and Deirdre were drinking some tea in the plaza so I joined them. I tried zooming in to see what kind of tea they were drinking. It kinda looks like orange pekoe? Who knows. Hopefully it's decaf since it's so late.

I went to go see what Claude was up to. He was making a bedtime snack. I'm not sure how he's cooking with that pan on a sink but he's got the spirit. Then I was off to Genji's house but he had already passed out. I left him to sleep and went back to my place.

I've got a colourful retro theme going in my kitchen and laundry room.

Day 7: It was raining out so I had to break out the old umbrella. The flowers really pop now that the snow has melted. I've got some of my favourite butterfly models out on display around my island. It took me awhile to get them all crafted by Flick so I couldn't just let them sit in my house's inventory.

So many lily of the valley flowers popped up over time so I started to stash them behind my house in the bamboo area.

I dug up all the fossil/gyroid splits in the baseball diamond. You can tell it's a baseball field right? I kept changing its dimensions last year. Maybe I need to add a few items to spice up the area. It feels nice having an open area though not piled up with stuff like the rest of my island.

Day 8: There's a camper visiting Usagi today. I'm pretty happy with my set of villagers but I still have to go check the tent anyways. Part of me was hoping it would be Shino but instead it was the lovely Bluebear. Obviously she is quite cute but I didn't end up inviting her to live on the island. Her sandwich looked pretty good though. If you look close it seems to just be lettuce, tomato and cheese which sounds kinda plain but maybe there's hidden bacon. I'm always trying to zoom in on the food and I was not disappointed.

Day 9: After a week break, I'm back to continue my island journal. I have time travelled to April 1st which is cherry blossom season in an attempt to spark some creativity in me. The grass is much more bright green now. It makes me wish spring would hurry up in real life. I changed up my outfit from my usual yellow bunny hoodie and replaced it with the pink one to match the cherry blossom trees. See how nice and bright the pictures are? It's a much better vibe then late winter. We can feel the seasonal depression slipping away. Thanks mr sun.

Day 10: I forgot it was time for a certain easter rabbit to appear on my island. I already have a closet full of bunny day items so I kept my distance. I know I love rabbits but something about Zipper's eyes weirds me out.

I decided to plant a few trees along the east coast side cause I realized I don't have many pink trees spread through out the island. There's not much space left but I squeezed a few in. Hopefully they grow and aren't too close to the edge.

And then I realized I haven't posted a picture with Gaston yet which is totally unacceptable so off I went to his house. It's pretty much a shack. It ain't much but he's a humble fellow. That's my bff right there.

Day 11: The moon is round as heck. I thought for sure I would see some shooting stars but so far the sky is clear. At least I got some fabulous snapshots of the night sky. I ran into Coco who was catching some bugs. I've been trying to show every villager at least once in these journal entries so after snapping Coco's pic, only Mac remains.

I headed on down to Mac's house. Apparently we haven't chatted in awhile. My bad bro. Mac was one of my original 2 villagers and I never want him to leave. It must be hard to be a jock and a bulldog at the same time cause let's face it, those dogs have respiratory issues. He doesn't let that phase his enthusiasm for sports though.

Day 12: Apparently I started my island March 21st, 2020. I bought a used switch lite just to be able to play the game cause neither my partner or I owned a switch. It still works till this day. Can you believe it? It has mad joycon drift but nothing I can't handle. Also I still have my OG outfit with the yellow bunny hood, green overalls and no shoes equipped on my star wand. I had forgotten that cherries were my original islands fruit. Good thing we have these passports available with this information or I would never remember anything.

I saw Guillver passed out on the beach. Both me and Gaston are thinking "that ain't none of our business" and we kept on walking. Work on yourself Guillver.

Day 13: Barbeque season has arrived. I put on the ol' grilling apron (it was available to purchase last year on father's day) and headed out the door. I wanted to change my hair colour but then I'd have to find the matching eyebrows. I can't even remember where I got my current ones design code from, but anyways I'm rambling.

Yum yum grilled veggies. Do you guys remember in New Leaf the grill item had meat skewers on it instead of vegetables? Kinda messed up considering they have cow & pig villagers. Just a little cannibalism between neighbours no big deal. The veggies are a much better idea.
