Villager Meeting Requests

I have had several villages set up meeting requests. "Meet me at my house such and such a time" or "Can I come to your house such and such a time" They never work for me. Is there a trick to these meeting requests? When they ask to meet at your house do you stand outside or inside? Zell asked to come over to my house. At the exact time he said meet at my house he was walking around his. 1 minute after this supposed meeting I got lectured about not being at my house. He was no where near my house 1 minute before. These meeting requests are driving me nuts.

You have to be inside your house at the meeting time then go outside and go back in

If the meeting is at your house, then yes you do have to be inside.
I always stand near(ish) to the front door in the main room. Not sure that is essential (it was in accf/acww)
They can be late (my lazy villagers sometimes are, just a minute or so).
All my villagers want to see every room - once I had a room blocked by furniture as it had just been added & I hadn't had time to sort it out - that was not liked & I was told I was keeping a room a secret from them.
Just walk into each of your rooms and they will follow you.

If you are invited to their house look in their storage - you may find an item they will let you keep.

If you have a good amount of bells showing they will offer to sell an item in their room - but they often refuse on the rarer/unorderable items. Its worth a try to see what you can get.


Don't understand the go outside and then go back in advice?

I waited 5 minutes once for a villager to come in my house, I went outside then enterd and they came in.

I always forget about these.. I upset peanut by forgetting... I got very upset about that! You can say no sometimes you know

Sometimes when the meetings are at your house, the Villager SOMETIMES* forget. When you go talk to them after the initial time, they say sorry about forgetting you or they had "important" errands to run. Lol

I forgot about a meeting once with Graham. I couldn't remember with whom my meeting was with at that time and I kept on asking the villagers (but I didn't ask him how dumb of me), I also stayed inside my house for a while thinking that it was a villager visiting me. I wish they would have a reminder of some sorts since its hard to not forget the time and type of meeting you have with the villager.
