Villager move out question

So, I'm at 10 villagers and Apple asked about leaving. I said sure why not and now she's saying she'll need to prepare her goodbyes for tomorrow.

So, obviously it's different from new leaf (no date of x many days). So will she be in boxes tomorrow and someone can visit to invite her? Or would they need to come over today and talk to her?

Villagers will be in boxes the day after they tell you they are moving. You can go into their house and see all of their stuff packed up. That's when someone can visit to invite her. After that day, she'll be gone.

So it’s more like WW and CF where you don’t get x many days to talk them out of it. Has anyone have them move out without you getting the chance to stop them?

She ping'd. They have little chat bubble above their head that calls your players name and they run after you.
The other villagers also mentioned the moving villager in their dialogue.

After telling her she could move and talking to her again I didn't see any option to tell her to stay. Like how in new leaf, if you talked to them enough times you could tell them nevermind after previously telling them to go. So, you may have to be careful on selecting leave if you're not sure...
