Villager outfits?

Hi

I recently time traveled trying to get rid of a villager and I also heavily gifted three new villagers with clothes now that I have traveled back two of these villagers will only wear their original clothing even though the outfits I’ve gifted them are in their drawers or being displayed in their house.

Does anyone know a fix for this?

They only wear them sometimes I've been seeing hopefully this is helpfull

I think each villager has a different style. I confess I spoil them with outfits (sometimes funny, sometimes stylish) like the poop hats, retro dresses, meme shirts, etc. and some will try them on right away (They'll also say something like "This is totally my style!") or have a different reaction and just display the clothes.

Before I traveled back though the villagers were wearing the clothes all the time and they were definitely their style so it can’t be that.

I think because I time travelled there has been a glitch

I keep trying to find out how I get them to wear the cloths I want them to wear...can you explain it to me? I have complained about what they wear but a few hours later they're back in the cloths they came in on the amiibo card.
