Villager photos and family

Hello, so I was wondering if villager photos where harder to obtain if a family member got it first. Like to make it harder for people with side names to get multiples or something.

I play with my mother and we both have about half of the villager photos, however niether of us have a photo that the other one has.

For example, my mom has Puddles photo, but I do not.

We're both best friends with puddles and have been for a while. I'm constantly giving wrapped fossils, and I've got them from villagers that my mother doesn't have the photo of, but I can't get the ones she has for the life of me!

All players can get the villagers photos. Two players on my main island have all 10 villagers photos.
Last week main player got a repeat picture.

Thank you both. I knew it was possible to get a repeat photo. It just seemed weird we where both struggling to get the others photos.

My island has two players and both of us have gotten several (20+) photos from each villager. I've never noticed any mechanic that would slow down or make it harder for the other player.

I have like 2 users on both islands I have and I only focus on the main character that usually gives the villagers gifts until they get their photo, then I use the 2nd user who doesn't have any high friendship with the villagers because whats really annoying is that when you have a high friendship villagers often run up to you and they ruin your chance for them to move out, so thats the reason why I use the 2nd user so it makes it easier.

When I am done getting the photo, I usually time travel like 15 days because I know it takes them that long for them to think about moving out and I don't want it to conflict with the high friendship on the main user and I would just focus on the 2nd user who has lower friendship with all the villagers, I hope that made more sense.

I'll give you some tips on getting photos faster thanks to a thread I made about other ways of getting photos. You can give Villagers 9 stacks of pumpkins, 3 stacks of non native fruit, and the furniture item that many villagers seem to like no matter what personality is the Antique Chair and they must all be wrapped in a gift using wrapping paper from the Nook Cranney shop in the cabinet.

Yeah getting villager photos is really time consuming and it can take like longer than like a month or 2 to get them and since I time travel it usually takes me like 4 to 5 hours to get it (trust me its really that long). Hope this helps you.
