Villager Reset Trick

So I have Maple Moving into my town. Super happy about that but I am worried about where her house will land. I have perfect spots available just the right size for houses but they always seem to land where I don't want them.

How do I do this trick and is there a risk that I could damage my game? Thank you.

the day that she should plot her land, load your game and make a new file. dont go into your mayors file.

once you made your new character just walk around town until you find her plot. if you dont like it. close the game without saving and make a new one. repeat until you like where her house is going to be. and then you have to go to isabelle and register to be a resident.

Check everywhere with a newly created character. If you find her house in a bad spot, reset and make a new character again. If it's a good spot you continue playing until you build a house and can save. You must save. Keep in mind that your house will remove the grass beneath it so choose a wise spot.

Starting the game with your mayor = no chance to move her house. Delete your 2nd character the next day when she definitely moved in. If your 2nd character doesn't find her spot, reset and look again. If there is no spot after 3-4 tries, or if the spot doesn't change, she's either not coming or her spot has already been determined for 100% somehow.

Oh I already have all 4 of my characters. So I guess I get stuck with wherever they are going to put their house.

Well I will just have to see where she lands. Already put too much into characters houses to delete any of them now. ^o^

Make sure your items are placed on sand or on places where no house can be build, or her house might crush your storage space.

lol I know right. Storage everywhere. I am ashamed cause its such a mess. I am working on tidying up today. Wish they had an outdoor locker for your tools for each character. That would be handy.

Do you have a police station? Anything her house crushes should turn up there, so you can empty the lost and found instead of your whole town.
