Imbri
Resident Night Mare
Sounds like a Breakfast from Hell, doesn't it? Not exactly.
The waffling I'm talking about is my indecision about letting Rocket go. I know, I've been saying she has to go. But I hate thinking any of my villagers aren't happy, and I know she thought we were good friends.
Two things strengthened my resolve yesterday. The first was a comment she made about Dizzy - called him lame because he wanted to show her a hole or something like that behind Re-Tail. No one, I mean no one makes fun of my Dizzy.
The second was later in the day, when I noticed that she was home. I wanted to see if she had the pink-zap suit I gave her for her birthday (a top gift, according to the guide) displayed in the house. She hadn't worn it, but since it's technically a dress, that might have been the reason. I looked all around her room. No suit. So, I wanted to make sure you had a nice birthday, even though I was waiting for you to tell me you were leaving, and you don't even have the decency to display my gift?
She goes into boxes on Sunday.
For the turnips part, I mentioned earlier in the week that I had bought a bajillion turnips from Joan... okay, not that many, but close. (Also, how is it that she can carry unlimited numbers, but we can only have 16 bunches at a time? Something tricky about that sow....) I've been tracking prices all week in both Salem and Hollowyn. Unfortunately, both towns seemed to have random patterns this week (go figure), so it was getting down to nail-biting time on whether I'd recoup my initial investment, never mind make a profit.
Thankfully, Salem had a bit of a bump yesterday afternoon. 134 bells. Not great, but I was able to make enough that Phineas came to visit. I'd forgotten that I'd dabbled a little bit, back when I first started the town. I got my bronze badge, and estimate I've made 600,000 bells total in profit. A long way to go for the silver and gold badges, but that's okay.
It had rained all day in Salem on Wednesday, yesterday in Hollowyn, and it's raining in RL today. Oh, joy. Oh, bliss.
As far as the rest of my day went, Redd was in town (in Hollowyn) Wednesday. I bought the Neutral Painting from him. Keaton sold me his Worthy Painting that night, so I had the two to donate, and I had that Famous Painting Rocket sold to Erin Tuesday. Since I already had that one in Salem's museum, I sent it to Hollowyn. The Art Gallery always takes the longest to complete, don't you think? Still, it's fun.
Went diving in Hollowyn last night, which was a little more challenging in the rain, but I managed to catch a snow crab and a lobster, giving me enough to hit the 80% mark for shellfish. Since it was raining, Phineas wouldn't appear, but I'm hoping to see him today. The remaining 5 I need to complete that catalog won't be appearing in the water until later in the year, so I can relax there.
That's about it. Other than the dash to transfer turnips, it was fairly quiet. I did get an arched kiddie door for Erin's house, so I'm just looking for the kiddie exterior and roof. Trying to come up with enough series to fit the theme, though. I have balloon, egg, and am almost done getting kiddie. Robo counts, but I need a fifth. Anyone have a suggestion? I have a feeling I'll have to wait until the holidays to get the Spooky or Jingle series, and I'd rather not wait that long.
