Wanted to say hi

Hi guys,
First time using this forum AND my first time playing animal crossing. Any tips for a newbie? I’ve 5 starred my island (not sure how) and I’m looking for new ways to enjoy the game.

p.s: random question- once I get a villagers portrait, is there a point to keeping them on my island? Do they offer any other type of benefits (better recipes/gifts)?

as for portraits, dont think they do much other than spruce up your house lol. just shows how much of a friend you are to them!

I see. Should I just replace her (Audie) with a new villager? I read around that she’s kind of popular and rare but if I don’t gain anything after the portrait I might as well sell her to someone who can use her.

The villager pictures are just trophies more or less. They take time to achieve and so in past games people have traded for them, but it seems like lately it's not as much of a thing.

I'm sure you could find someone who would adopt Audie from you, if you're tired of her. It's all down to your play style - some people have a set group of villagers they want to find and keep permanently (or long-term) on their islands, whereas others like to cycling them out and meet new friends.
