Earlier today I added someone by the name "light" from the town "fantasy". Well he came to my town and he wanted to play hide and seek. So I ran to hide but for some reason I went back to where my flowers where and I saw him running but I didn't notice till he left. Well he stole about 10 hybrid flowers. Beware!!! I am not lying. Honestly, who would do such thing? This is suppose to be game friendly but I guess not. Tell your friends and please do not add him. I would add his code but I don't know if I should. :/

Awh ! That sucks! :( I'm usually iffy with who I let into my town. Especially since I take more time on getting my flower placement perfectly. Hope you have a speedy recovery with that!

I'd say add the code to this post, those two names are pretty common, so as to not get mixed up with anyone else or... Eh who am I kidding, bring the justice hammer down, teach em a lesson.

Thank you for the warning, however, we cannot have a blacklist. I'm not saying you are lying but people WILL lie to get others on a blacklist. People will have to be responsible for their own town so I don't think we can advocate pointing out wrongdoers (not that you would get in trouble for it if you did)

When you add a person from the internet you need to be very careful who you let into your town. If you find any signs of wrongdoing to your town, quickly flip the wifi switch on your 3DS before they leave your town so the items stolen, or trees chopped down won't save. As a plus, if you flip the wifi before they leave, they can't keep your flowers/fruit.

If there is no source for us members to alert and warn other members about possible corrupt individuals, then we by default have failed our companions and fellow gamers.

How can we be careful of who we let into our town if a site is willing to harbor these individuals without any repercussion for their misdeeds to other members? Without a civilized and standard source of information about who and what to watch out for as troublemakers, this is basically an open invitation to all who do intend to cause trouble as they know they have nothing to fear and a virtually constant supply of trusting victims, then in turn every member would start to become suspect of being untrustworthy and eventually nobody would add any other member to their friends list, except for random small cliques of people who would ostracize anyone else who they didn't already know.

And random warning threads like this one, are not effective enough, especially in a highly active group such as this, where a single warning like this will only ever bee seen by the few members who happened to log in during the time the post is still in moderate to high activity, and the troublemaker still gets to remain among the rest of us members largely unnoticed just waiting for his next trusting victim to open up another opportunity.

And while I'm thinking about it, why the change? I know there was a blacklist for AC:CF.

I couldn't say it any better than Melt did, plus really there'd be away around false adds to blacklist example:reports of More than one bad encounter, photo proof? eh.

Well Meltd0wn took the words right out of my mouth!

To me it just doesn't feel right that griefers should be able get away scot-free :/

What lesson are we supposed to be teaching them? How do we know this person is on this site? What lesson could they learn if we have no way to contact them?

No, we haven't. While others may feel differently, I feel that we have no responsibility to inform others of corrupt individuals.

Look into the name. If it's someone on this site, read a few previous posts. Get to know them better. There's plenty of things you can do to avoid problems.

Spare the dramatics. People will always add other members, regardless of how much vandalism is going on.

No, there wasn't a blacklist for AC:CF. At least, not one stickied by TBT staff, as far as I could see. I did a search through the CF forums for "black list" and "blacklist". The only thing that came up was a group blacklist for the Oakland Brigade.

Don't play hide and seek with strangers.
Basically, this.

Good information there!

If you suspect something is going wrong, just flip the wifi button or power down before your guests leave.

We don't need to blacklist someone like this. A: He may be mistaken for someone else, so you can't go around accusing people without the correct evidence. Like people have said before, turn off your router or power down. I'd personally rather Resetti than having my hybrids taken.

Just be lucky you didn't get seeded/hacked on your cartridge (It happened in WW, Action replay for the DS can solve that)

Just make sure for the first 10 minutes or so you keep any new guests you have in sight of the game camera to make sure they are good.

We've had this discussion multiple times about not adding and blacklisting. Closing thread.

I added someone by the name "light" from the town "fantasy" code number 2208-5204-7282 and he stole my hybrid flowers. I read all the response my previous thread and I do believe that we should be able to have a list of people we let in. I would have taken a pic to have proof he was the only one in my town when the flowers were taken. Why would I lie about hybrid flowers being stolen from me. I do believe though that something should happen to him for stealing. As to what I am unsure. I was not going to put his code but I want everyone to know cause there maybe more then one with the same name. He says he is 17 and he card said he is from Italy. So now I don't add anyone cause I am scared that someone else will steal from me again.
