We are new to the bell tree

Me (jeremy) and my GF paige are new to the bell tree but not to animal crossing. Hi everyone. We found a lost kitten this morning and she is looking for her mother. Has anyone on here encountered this before? We have looked our town over and can't find her. We need help to resolve this issue. Thanks
