This is kind of a really tiny thing that I've mentioned in the Features You Want thread, but I am curious to know what you guys think about it. Now that the weather is more dynamic and that villagers can now wear long sleeves, I wonder if during colder days, rainy days, or nights, if the animals will change their clothes to fit the weather. Kind of like how they always pull out an umbrella on a rainy day. ie, they wear short sleeves/dresses during hot, summer days and jackets/sweaters when it's chilly outside. Ooh, I just thought of accessories lol. What if they also put earmuffs on in the wintertime or something like that. Hmmmm...

What do you guys think lol? Doesn't this sound so cute. :lemon:

It's something I've wanted since the first game to be honest, though going a bit more into things like temperature. Having the temperature listed alongside the clock and date and having that affect what villagers wear would be interesting.

I'm almost certain that villagers will wear clothes to suit the weather. What I'm wondering is whether failure to wear clothes suitable for the weather has any minor consequences.

I’m sure they will. I love they can wear long sleeves now!

I think so! It could be like how Isabelle changes her uniform in NL?
Also do you think umbrellas may be a necessity now, rather than an accessory! (? ꈊ ?)✧︎˖?オホッ!
If we get wet, could we catch a cold or would it cost more stamina to try and execute tasks this way?
We might need to wear a rain mac to avoid the cold wet weather and if we overheat that might cost stamina too?

Maybe I'm over thinking hehe but I really am excited to see how the villagers change their clothing appropriately for each season!

I find it weird how your mayor can go diving in the winter at night. Or go submerged next to a shark and scare it away.

I think they will!! I remember in the preview trailer during the winter scene, the villagers were wearing winter clothing. One of them was freya the pink wolf and thats not her normal shirt! and that could mean that during different weather they'll change clothing. However it could just also be that the player can manually make the villager changes clothing like in ..... that game that shall not be named (it's pocket camp, I mean no shade if you like it but I just....I can't, you know?), but I'm hopeful that because they added weather effects onto clothing such as rain, that they went ahead and place more weather dynamic features in the game. It is in HD so I assume they'd want to try and show it off.

HHD did it first ;)

In the trailer it showed villagers wearing long sleeves and scarves in the winter. And I think, but could be wrong, that the raincoat appeared to be wet (and other items) in the clip coming out of the tent on the beach with Tad or Lily (?) sitting on the stump. I?m excited for the weather immersion, especially the wind and how it affects your clothing/hair.

Seeing how the villager was visibly wet in the rain with the raincoat, I wonder if there is more too it, or if this is just an effect with that material (such as umbrellas). If we were effected more, I totally would not mind it and maybe even prefer it? I love already dressing for the season in New Leaf, so that is a type of "realism" I would definitely welcome.
