So I'm looking to catch a Politoed for Dex completion purposes and I'm wondering if a Pokemon with Drizzle would be sufficient, or so I have to wait for it to just rain?

Yep, a pokemon with drizzle (like a pelipper for example) or even a pokemon that will use the move rain dance will trigger the weather SOS pokemon. This applies for snow warning pokemon as well if you are trying to get a Vanillish. However, it gets really tedious as you have to keep restoring the rain once the timer runs out and those weather SOS pok?s are such a pain to find! (I tried to get a politoed by doing the same method and after about an hour of throwing an adrenaline orb and constant spamming hold back until the silly thing called for help, knocking the new one out and then by that time having to restore the rain again... Ugh I just gave up! I found someone to trade with instead!) Of course it isn't always that annoying lol, I just had a bad experience! If you wanted, I have an extra king's rock so if you sent me a poliwhirl I could help you evolve it! I'd be happy to help others out ^_^

Thanks for the help! I'd love to trade, but I don't have a Poliwhirl.

You can get a Poliwhirl from Koni Koni city by trading a Zubat to a little girl in the pokemon center,it will be holding a waterium Z source
