I hope the seasons change is more gradual. Like instead of one day suddenly there is snow it should build up over time. It would also be cool if during winter it would melt in some areas then when it snows again it build back up.

As well as when it rains for an extended time I think it would be cool to have puddles appear.

Maybe in the fall some trees lose Most of the leaves and have different colored leaves.

What do you think? Anything else you can think of?

I want snow to be optional.

I dislike it intensely, as it isn't natural for me.

That would be good. Like it doesnโ€™t snow everywhere so you should be able to pick.

Nice ideas! These are small details, but I think it would be cool if snow did not gather underneath items or furniture you place outside. I think new idle animations for both the player and villagers (ex: shivering, seeing their breath, or trying to warm their hands when its cold, wiping away sweat, and fanning themselves when its hot.) would be cool. Intensity with weather patterns would be interesting too. Like from rainy days that are just a light shower, to days that are a very intense storm. Same with fog and snow.

Also: puddles! Having puddles and muddy puddles after the rain would be nice. Maybe some small flooding could be a special event as well. Like a villager lost an item in the flood/storm and you can go fish/dive for it (if they are bringing back diving). And opposite of that with droughts! Like ponds dry up a bit and you can get certain things like valuable minerals. And finally low tide. When the tide goes back, you can go and walk around a bit on the ocean floor and discover secrets! I so excited for this game!

No snow is a nice idea, except snowmen play a key role in this series

I don't like any of the snow furniture so that's fine by me if I don't have to put up with snow.

i would like snow to be an option, because although it doesn't snow in my country i really do love all the snow and ice themed furniture and i love seeing the snow and making snowmen. If its optional everyone will be able to choose what suits them and i think that would be wonderful. Im also keen to see more wind animations, and more leaves blowing through the wind. Its always super windy where i live and it would be nice to be able to suffer (haha) in game as well.

Cute and fun ideas! For the puddles, it would be so cute if when villagers walked in/passed them there would be a splash sound or animation that made them have different expressions based on their personality. As for leaves, it would be cool if you could dig them up and there is a chance for a random item underneath! Or, it could be a special item only available in the "leaf pile season".

In Winter, it would be nice if the ponds are frozen so that you are able to walk and slide on them, seeing also some ice floes in the river and ocean to show how cold it is right now. In Fall, the idea of having piles of leaves sounds lovely, I would find it cool if you could "destroy" really big ones by walking through them. What I would also like to see is having a few days where leaves flying around, kinda similar like how the cherry blossom leaves falling down in Spring. Besides, I also 100% agree with the puddles idea, I could imagine lazy villagers loves to play in them while snooty villagers try to avoid those to not getting dirty. And, something I really hope they gonna add in this game: Fog. I would love it to have foggy days in Winter, giving the whole place a really chill atmosphere.

Cool, fog would be an awesome idea if someone was wanting to make a creepy island vibe, and if the Dream Suite comes back... :)

I love all these ideas! Fog would be amazing, especially early in the morning.

As for picking your weather, I doubt that will be a feature as it's just not how the games operate, sadly. But I do like the weather cycle, and it's confirmed that the seasons will reflect which region you're in, so players in the southern hemisphere will experience the 'correct' weather.

And I agree with gradually starting off the seasons, the abrupt start to the seasons can throw you off!

Some more realistic seasonal touches would be nice, like non-fruiting/evergreen trees losing their leaves for the late fall and winter (I know that IRL fruit trees lose their leaves, but I don't know what people would think of with a season of no fruit). Then fall would be neat and have falling leaves, with some of them gathering on the ground, perhaps with a similar effect to the "bushes" in AC GCN that you could run through and leaves would fly out.

As others have mentioned, snow should be variable instead of a static thing that automatically blankets the ground the whole winter.

I think in the late fall/early Spring and during the winter when the snow is absent (if that is ever to be a thing) there should be frost in some nights and mornings that would create a pretty icy glaze over everything.

As others have mentioned, fog would be neat, too.

I think my earlier ideas are already out, though. Trees are already shown to have leaves during the winter like in previous games for example.

Ohhh I love the frost idea. That would be really cool.

Reading those ideas got me excited! I hope that all of them are in the game honestly.
I always like the way my town looks better when there isn't snow,
but I don't think I would opt out of it if given the choice... 'cause snowmen.

I love Loupinotte's idea of the ponds freezing. It would be awesome if ice-skating was a thing.
Thinking about all the possibilities makes March seem even further away!

Reading through all of these ideas are interesting. I really liked the idea of fog and ice skating. I think it would be nice to see different kinds of leaves blowing around in the air during fall. This is a tiny idea but I think it would be interesting to see sundogs (rainbow patches of light) in the sky.

Great ideas. Especially the snow building up and the water puddles. My kind of thinking !

I agree with the above posts!
Gradual easing into the seasons would be so amazing!!!
I'd really love to have icy patches where we could all fall over and get embarrassed/angry/sad - like the pitfalls - I really hope they add other emotions on things like that rather than the two angry/sad like some may just burst into fits of laughter, and you could approach them and they'd say: haha just fell down a pitfall *laughs* or just fell on the ice *embarrased/shiver/dizzy/any emotion* or whatever emotion that there is not just two!

I love the idea of fog! You'd really have to use the megaphone to find villagers then! :D

These are some excellent ideas! Wouldn't it be cool if we had a shovel when the snow got too high, or rake in the fall? Maybe the villagers could request that you do it for them.

Maybe there might be some rain storms were none of the villagers go outside; and if you stay in the villagers will call you on the phone.

I love the puddle idea, by the way. That sounds so cute.

I'd love it if our player was sensitive to the weather, like if we were wearing a jacket in the summer, for instance, I'd hope that they get sweaty or something lol. Same with wearing a dress or tank top in the winter, brrrrrr ((shiver emotion))

I would LOVE thunderstorms! Not just rain but full on thunderstorms
