Hope you all didn't mind those pre-published posts over the weekend. I just didn't want to leave the blog empty for a few days. I'm back, though, so on to the more recent updates.
I got my Silver Watering Can from Leif, so I probably won't buy as many flowers now. I figured it out, and to buy 40 flower bags from him costs 3,200 bells. You can go to the island for 1,000 bells, take a few tours, and fill up the box that way. Saves you 2,200 bells per trip. I'll still keep buying trees and axes, when he has those in stock, though.
Speaking of flowers, remember all those paths I said I lined out with mismatched flowers? I pulled them all up. It just didn't feel right. I made several fields around town of flowers planted in checkerboard fashion so I can get hybrids, planted flowers around all houses and buildings, and sold the rest at Re-Tail. Now I'm back to a bare town, but that's okay.
I realized that I had a large area between Stitches and Shari, so I started the lighthouse build, but I don't know if I'll really like it. I'll wait until it's finished and then see. If not, down it comes.
I happened upon a conversation between Anabelle and Antonio. They wanted to know what kind of movies I liked, and I chose romantic comedies. Antonio made faces and said action films are better, because they get your heart pounding, and Annabelle defended my choice, saying that your heart can pound from a romantic comedy. Then she had this little thinking-out-loud moment:

Oh, dear. Maybe that's why Anabelle lives next door to Antonio.
Lolly pinged me yesterday to say that she was going to move. Oh, nononono. Fortunately, she's very easy to convince. Silly kitty. You're not going anywhere!
On the house front, I picked up the Earthy Exterior for Jett's school and the arched heavy door for Flint. I also got the arched beige door for Sapphire's house, and I like the way it looks with the Melon Exterior. I might even keep the orange thatch roof. Still waiting on the Cabin Exterior and arched cabin door for my house, then it'll be complete. In the meantime, I went ahead and put in an order for the left-side room to be built. I have no idea how I'll decorate it, but I might as well get it done while I have the bells. The sooner it's done, the sooner I can start expanding the school and shop houses.
I got the 2nd mannequin from Mabel this morning. Next up, Labelle's. Also unlocked the QR machine for all the secondary characters. I found a really pretty design called Center Tree over on QRCrossing.com and snagged it for my new Town Flag. It's actually meant as a triptych, but it looks nice on its own. I had Jett store it, as well as a dirt path that's 1 tile wide. I don't know if I'll use it, but I'd rather have it and not than the other way around.
I got to start working at The Roost yesterday, as well. I served Annabelle, Eugene, and Purrl. Got all of them spot on, so Brewster gave me Superb Coffee Beans. I didn't keep them, because I know I'll get more and my storage is getting a little tight right now.
Oh, and I got a few new badges - the Great Samaritan, Skilled Bug Catcher, and Backyard Gardener. And I nabbed 4 new tunes from K.K. Slider, so my music selection is a little more varied.
Sorry for the long ramble. Hope you all have a great day!
