I know there are bigger fish to fry but I'd thought I just share what I'm experiencing. Every time I click the like button on a post, any form of media ranging from the TBT in your account bar to videos in posts gets reset. Sometimes I'll be watching a video and I'll decide like the post, the video will then just stop. Peoples' TBT also just goes to 0 when liked. I noticed this back in the woods but thought it was just a woods glitch.

Again, I know this isn't a real significant issue. Just thought I'd point it out if It hasn't been already.

Going off of what I know of web design, what is going on makes sense actually. When you like a post, it causes a refresh of the post itself through AJAX-like functions (this is why the video stops). Additionally, the TBT count is turned to 0 because the implementation of the like button doesn't have a function that fetches the currency value of the user of a given post. Hope this makes sense!

Oh I thought it was a woods thing too, I’ve been experiencing it as well!

That does make a whole lot sense actually. Though I wonder why they don't have an update function that works to refresh information after something like the "like" button is pressed.

Yeah, It's not causing any real big problems, it's just noticeably weird.

I'm not sure why it is implemented that way, but it should be a simple fix by modifying the AJAX function that fetches the data from the server (basically, it would be adding an additional variable to search for). My only guess is that the 2 plugins that implement the features weren't designed to work together by the original creators (as in, one came out before the other and the first add-on to be released wasn't updated to coordinate with the 2nd).

it's actually been like that for years, if you're gonna watch a video embed in a post i'd recommend opening it in a new tab

That's probably what it is. It doesn't matter too much but it's fascinating to think about :D

Oh I just started noticing it recently because I'm more active now. Thanks for the suggestion, though, I usually just wait until the end of the video before I press the like button. I was just pointing it out, I don't really have a problem with it.

sorry if this is a noob question, but whenever I press the green like button it turns into a dislike? sorry again if I should have made a new thread

Yes, what's the problem?

Don't worry, it still means like. It just means, if you click on it when it's liked, you disliked it. :] I think that's what you're asking.

I've always seen that as you disliking the post you've liked. Why else would you unlike a post

Little bit of an update on this. I noticed that if you like someone's post and then click on their now 0TBT, it'll take you straight to the transaction page.

Just thought that was weird and worth sharing :)
