Hello and welcome to Bayport! Originally, Bayport was going to be simply based on Club Penguin. However, I've been in a nostalgic mood as of late, so have decided to make the island still inspired by Club Penguin, but also inspired by other nostalgic things! I got the name, Bayport, from the setting of The Hardy Boys haha. I may or may not have been extremely slightly obsessed with the 1970s show when I was a kid.

The island tune is going to be the theme from the show! Here it is, which was created by kiwikenobi on this forum: http://nooknet.net/tunes?melody=e-s-d-s-e-s-d-d-e-d-e-C-D-s-s-s&title=New Melody It is perfect!

All of the villagers will be penguins (of course) and buildings such as the dojo, the PSA, the mine, and a few others will be recreated on the island from Club Penguin. Along with that, there will be the ski slopes and other areas from the original game. I'm most excited about working on an area based on one of my past favorite PSA missions, where you become stranded on the outskirts of Club Penguin Island. Herbert's secret hideout will be found in that area, along with a few other things from the game.

Along with the 1970s Hardy Boys tv show, I was pretty much into all things 70s in elementary and part of middle school (I even wore bellbottoms... I can't believe I just shared this information online.) So, the island in its entirety is going to have a sort of 70s-vibe. I recently found some really cool 70s inspired building designs which I can't wait to try out.

It took me so long to post about this because I had to make sure the map would work for the island. I don't plan on doing any terraforming (excluding paths, and perhaps making cliffs to create building facades) so the layout of the map was important. I really enjoy the early part of the game, where you slowly get to explore more of your island and see the possibilities in it. I want to keep that sort of magic alive, and work with what I have from the island. It already feels very reminiscent of new leaf!

As of right now, Resident Services is being built! I have not yet given Brewster the items he needs to open up the museum, as I really like the look of his tent. However, with the addition of Brewster (YESSSS) we might need to build it!

I'll be updating soon.
