What are some of your weirdest fears?

I have one irrational fear that one of my cat’s is an imposter cat that replaced the cat that I adopted from the shelter. The reason for this is because once, when we had just brought her home from the vet, she ran underneath our cupboards and got stuck under there for over 24 hours. We made sure to leave food for her and were constantly trying to help her get out, but in the end the maintenance workers for our apartment had to come in and make a hole in the cupboard to get her out, and then seal it back up.

The part that scares me, however, is that I was at work during the time that the worker came and got her out and then sealed up the cupboard. So, for some irrational reason, I get scared that maybe she never was actually freed from under the cupboard and instead that they just found another cat and replaced her. I know this is weird because there would be some sort of smell or something, but I can’t help being paranoid at times.

When I was younger I use to have pretty bad Capgras Delusion, which is pretty much what you're describing.

I always got scared that at night when someone would go outside without me or leave my eyesight that something or someone else would come back instead of them and I would just never know until it turned on me or I ended up tricking it into revealing itself.
It got so bad that I would frequently have nightmares about people and sometimes my dog 'changing', but thankfully it's stopped now because of medication... though I did have a pretty severe case of it.

I'm afraid of a lot of commercials, I am really creeped out by the false legs they use to make it look like dogs and cats are holding things, and I am really not a fan of open ended commercials either. Something about not ever knowing what happens in ones on animal planet where lizards are leaping from trees only to never land for example is just... eeehh....

I've actually talked about this in the forums before but, honestly that's my weirdest one, because I feel like the others I have are pretty warranted eheheh...

i have a fear that when I turn on the stove, that it will explode and burn down the house. I’m never able to just turn on the stove regularly; I always turn it on too fast and I have to put it on lite again. Is it normal?

i have a fear of gravity reversing and everyone and everything flying up into space... i can't look at let go balloons for that reason

Sometimes I get freaked out if I'm in a dark room with paintings of people thanks to this horror movie commercial I saw on vacation, guess what though, all the pictures in my room are of people and they are all really old too.

I also have a fear of nuns thanks to that same commercial.

when i was like 7 i had this fear of accidentally swallowing my hair. i would chew my hair a lot, and when a strand of hair got in my mouth, i was afraid that i would accidentally swallow it and i'd die or it'd get caught on something. because of this, i'd spit in my shirt (ew) to get the hair out of my mouth (sometimes there wasn't even a strand of hair in my mouth). i remember one time this kid asked me why my shirt was so wet. i told him it was because my mom was washing clothes and she couldn't dry it in time

i'm also somewhat afraid of sleep?? just the possibility of dying in my sleep scares me a lot. i still sleep of course but sometimes i just.. don't want to because of this fear

i have a developing fear of tiny holes (trypophobia). at first it didn't scare me but the more i see it, the more it freaks me out :')

I'm also terrified of groups of ants.

I have this horrible fear of having a seizure.

Ive never had one and I don't have epilepsy but it still scares me SO bad

If I feel even a little different I start freaking out, and even the mention of the word scares me

It's been going on for 2 years now, and it sucks

Honestly, mannequins. Some of them look so lifelike and real but they have no face, it’s like the thing could just leap at you at any moment
