What are you currently reading?

I’ll start: I’m reading the (now second to last!) book in the Southern Reach series. It used to be a trilogy but the author just released a new additional book 10 years after the release of the series!

It’s very strange and surreal - a lot of mystery. But I’m enjoying the ride. Makes me wonder what life will be like in 50 years as the climate crisis gets worse. What are you reading now? Any recommendations?

I'm reading several books right now. The standout is The Hate You Give by Angie Thomas. I wish I had read this book back in high school. It feels like a time capsule of adolescence during the late 2010s, and it handles mature topics well for a YA novel. My only complaint is that a character's death happens early, and the reader barely gets to know them before they're gone.
