For Chromebook users, like I, Pixlr is the best you can get. I might be getting a drawing tab, because when I do occasionally do digital art, I draw on my Nexus using Sketchbook, which is alright. When I do pixel I use Pixlr
I really like Sketchbook Pro. Then again, it's the only thing I've ever drawn with and I've only drawn for a short period of time so I'm not sure if it's the best xD. It has certainly been great for a beginner such as myself.
I use SAI for drawing and coloring and PhotoShop for GFX.
I tried using gimp, but I just couldn't get the hang of it at all. Drawing in photoshop doesn't give me the results I want and like, but then again I javen't tried coloring there at all.
I also use Illustrator, but that's only for "official" poster work.
I use Photoshop CS6 Extended for graphic-making and general photo manipulation/editing. I rarely use GIMP now, but when I do it's always to render images with a solid-color background. GIMP really does have the easiest process for that imo.
I don't do much digital drawing but if I ever start again I'd probably use PS for that as well, since I don't have SAI.
