What could be a supplement to the retro NES games?

Since Nintendo refuses to put the classic NES games in any new Animal Crossing game, I thought I should make a thread where we can brainstorm ideas for what they can implement instead.

One of my ideas would be for them to come up with their own original games. Have any of you heard of Super Tortimer? What if that was a real game instead of a prank? They could do stuff like that instead.

Another idea I have is that they could make some of the furniture interactive. They could make the arcade machine and table top games actual games, they can make the pinball machine actually playable, they can make the mahjong table allow you to play mahjong, they can make the TVs in a way how you can actually watch TV.

So, what are your ideas of what they can do in replacement to the classic NES games. Do you agree to my ideas? Do you disagree to my ideas?

I swear I was thinking of Super Tortimer earlier today.

There are lots of things that they could implement. Since the Wii U game would be able to be much bigger than the 3DS version (up to 25gb on a blu-ray, ya know), there could be even more shops and features. I'd love some interactive furniture and some things that we could create and share more than just patterns. I should have a thread on some of my ideas later, this same section.

I never understand why people wouldn't want an extra bonus like that. It's not like you'd be forced to play the games if you didn't want to. But I'd like to see them put in some effort at least. Surely they could come up with some simple NES-style mini-games. They could even call it the Nook Entertainment System. That would be great, but I'm afraid the days of Nintendo going out of their way to provide an extra value like that are long gone. Nintendo isn't the same company they were 10-15 years ago, unfortunately.

As much as I would love Animal Crossing for the Nintendo Wii U, I do have to say that I want to try to become rich on the Nintendo 3DS version Animal Crossing New Leaf first of all.

I'm against it because it takes up space that could be used for other features.

Well it wouldn't have to replace something else necessarily, and simple NES games don't take up a lot of space. But still, maybe it would work better on a home system (where space is even less of a concern) instead a portable Animal Crossing.

Well, they could just do it after they have added all the new features they wanted to add.

They probably look at it like they'd rather make you buy them from the online store instead of including them free in a game.

It's a nice thought, but in the age of virtual consoles and, more importantly, emulators, it's pretty outdated. The best solution I could think of would be to have it so, when you buy an eligible virtual console game, you get a NES system for the same game in your AC town that you can then play there. But at that point, what's even the point of having them, really?

They could do the 'Virtual Boy' games since they wouldn't really do well as a DLC on the home consoles, and they take very little programing space, and besides a vast majority of people have never ever played most of them, so its a source of pre-made games that would appear new. I'm also willing to bet a vast majority of people don't even know what a Virtual Boy is. LOL

I only have 2 games for my Virtual Boy so I would like the chance to play the others I never got a chance to buy.

I know its just a dream but I like to dream from time to time. heh heh

It was amazing when they included it in the Gamecube version, but Nintendo isn't going to do that anymore. Especially if you consider that you are using a device that can go to the virtual store and buy the game for $5...They would rather have you do that. For me it doesn't matter, I have an Android phone, which allows me to play NES, SNES, and GBA games without any cost.

I just cant play classic games with a touch screen, I like the feel of the controllers and buttons, and besides I hate having to put my hands in the way of what I'm looking at. But that's just me, I like touch screen puzzles but that's about it for me and games on my phone. although I'll have to see if there is a "Virtual Boy" emulator for my PC. now that I would give a try.

I honestly don't think we need a supplement to them.

^This. So much this.

The NES games were cool back in the GCN days, but honestly I never really did play them much even back then. They were never a big part of this series at all for me. I have no idea why so many act like the lack of them is such a huge deal in the new games... It's not even something that needs to be "supplemented". I wish Nintendo would give us furniture decorations of all of the systems, but we don't need playable games.

I am for more interactive objects, though.
