What do tokens and TBT do

Tbt is the currency on the forums to exchange collectibles and in game items

Tokens and any other currency you see on the "Shop" tab under the banner is currency distributed during events. For example, tokens were distributed during this smaller, two-week-long event, eggs are distributed during Easter events, and tickets are distributed during the TBT Fair events.

TBT, or "bells" as they're called in the Shop tab, are the general forum currency. It can be earned by posting in boards, or if another member sends it to you. It can be used to purchase collectibles and in-game items from many games, mostly Animal Crossing but also games like Pokemon.

TBT is earned when you post on the forum, besides from the basement, museum and introduction board. The longer your post, the more TBT you earn (Post must be of decent quality though). Tokens are from the Old School Event, which can be earned by doing challenges or events, such as the drawing contest or the photo contest. Tokens can be used to buy items from Tortimer's gift shop. Those items are typically rarer or are in higher demand!
