I just started a new town. After completing all the beginning stuff, I collect seashells and sell them to Re-Tail because I don't want to shake my fruit trees and confuse them for regular trees later. I'll then go to Nook's and buy tools and then look for the money rock to get a good amount of bells. I dig up the fossils, but donate them to the museum instead of selling them because I fear that I might not find that fossil again for a long time if I sell it.

I do all of the tutorial stuff with Isabelle to get all of the basic tools and some non-native fruit. I then buy-out both stores because again I figure if I don't buy something when I see it, it might not appear again for a long time if ever again. I do some fishing to pay off the down payment, but I donate the first of every species I catch so that I don't have to worry about it later. I always donate instead selling the first time because then I never have to worry about it again.

For the next few days, I try to get that second loan paid off as fast as possible so I can access the island as soon as possible. I also try to get the development permit as soon as possible so I can build bridges to make my life easier. After that, I'm not in a rush to pay off my home loans. I'm more focused on buying things from the shops and getting them upgraded. I try to earn the bells for paying off my home loans by myself because it feels more rewarding. I don't TT for the first few weeks so I can just enjoy the growth of my new town.

I'm curious about what other people do when they start a new town. Do you sell fossils, fish, and insects right away to expand your house as fast as you can? Do you just start buying bells and other stuff from these forums right away? Do you TT right away to get the shops upgraded as fast as possible? Anything else that is part of your ritual when you start fresh?

With me, I start off by completing the beginner stuff (until the point I can save).
I then go collect seashells and sell them at the Re-Tail (save, quit and re-load and do it a second time 'round).
I then go buy a shovel and fishing rod at Nookling Junction.
I then dig up the fossils and donate them to the Museum.
I then continue to bug my villagers, trying to get them to assign tasks/favors for me (I spend about 2 minutes on each) and complete any favors/tasks the villagers give me.
I then go fish and donate the first of every species I catch, selling the extra ones to Re-Tail (I do this until I have about 50,000 bells).
I then go back into the Nook's Home to see if anything interests me (I don't do this early, because if I see something I want, I have to buy it instead of doing the sensible thing and saving my bells).
I then pay off the house loan, and save the rest of my money for the next house loan - unless an item (or two) at the Re-Tail or Nookling Junction fancies me.
If I do make a purchase or two, I go back and fish to make my bells back or save-quit and collect seashells again (by the next day, I always want to have about 60,000 bells sitting in my bank).
After that, I go to the Able Sisters, check out their clothing and make any desirable purchases.
I then go back to Isabelle and complete the 'tutorial' (I like giving her seashells :3).

I myself, always donate the first type of fish, fossil, insect/bug, and painting I get and sell the duplicates - same reason as yours.
I mainly focus on upgrading my house to the point where I get the second story, I then focus on getting the items/furniture I want.
I also try unlocking the Island and Gardening Store as soon as possible, as Island is great for money and Gardening Store is because of Axes :3 (I like to chop and redesign my town)

When I started, I just fooled around in my town because I didn't know what to do, after that I took a two week break from animal crossing because I was also playing another game at the time. Then later on I did some ac online research and kind of knew/finished the town villager approval to be their mayor, shook all the trees and fruits to sell along with the sea shells by the ocean. I felt like most of my duties were a bit rushed once I got into it, I had the erge to just start building things and all, but it got more busy once all the stores started unlocking xD

I complete Isabelle's town advices as early as possible, get most of my money through fruit trees and seashells, and make the first room of my house in the maximum size before I proceed to funding my town's first PWP. By the first week, I get all of the tools I needed save for the axe. I'll only be getting the axe if I decided to do a serious town makeover (putting paths, aligning trees, plot resetting villagers, etc). After the Gardening Store is opened, I always buy the seeds being sold until Leif gives me the silver watering can. I also check out on Sable every day until I unlock the Sewing Machine.

When I rebuild nowadays, I start at the day I purchased the game so I don't lose progress.

Everyday while TT'ing is then fossils, rock hitting, buy everything in the mainstreet, sell everything at Re-Tail. Talk to each villager everytime when I see them and do whatever they ask of me when I'm capable of doing that. Once I made it to today I will talk to villagers until they're sick of me.

Finally, I sell TBT to get enough IGB to pay off my house completely and some spare for future PWPs. Might sell again when I have 500k+ projects. Island Bug Catching every evening is just not something that entertains me, so I'm thankful for having this forum as an alternative to make bells.

I like to donate things to the museum before I sell the extras to Re-Tail. Other than that, I do the basic things to earn Bells: find the money and ore rock, dig up fossils, fish, catch bugs, do favors for villagers and sell what I don't want, sell fruit and shells, and shake trees for Bells and items.

usually when i start a new town, ill play for about 3 hours or so and then realize i can't do this again,a nd then i go back to my annoying main town to /try/ to keep working on that.

i want a new town, especially because so many people have made new towns and named them incheon, but my god ive put so much work into my main town i dont wanna erase it.
