With November ending, December is here, and... I always anticipate the snow and the break days. There are also finals I have to deal with.

It's no different from any other month to me 🤷‍♀️

December's one of my favorite months. Autumn and Winter are my favorite seasons and I prefer the cold over the heat of Spring and Summer. Though you never know what the weather will be from year to year, if it does snow, I am fond of the snowy scenery. Not fond of the ice, but hey, it comes with the territory.

The middle of the month is always hectic due to Christmas preparations and baking, but all the effort is worth it for Christmas Day when loved ones open the gifts I picked out and enjoy the cookies I baked. I like shopping for people and finding things that I think they'll enjoy. I also enjoy receiving gifts as well, though, haha. I like listening to Christmas music while I bake the aforementioned cookies.

The Christmas/Toy Day events here on the forum are fun to participate in and liven up the season; as someone who never did Advent calendars in real life, I always look forward to the TBT Advent Calendar and seeing what Candy Cane is distributed each year.

I like watching Christmas movies if time permits, and at the very least make it a point to watch the 1974 original version of Black Christmas from Bob Clark. I'm hoping to try to fit some more Christmas movies in this month, but yeah, with all the Christmas prep I mentioned a while back, there's usually a lot of things vying for my time. We'll see what happens this upcoming month!

Christmas itself is one of my favorite days alongside Halloween. The week following it also has a nice, chill vibe to it. I also have a fondness for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Unfortunately New Year's Eve is a Tuesday this year and thus New Year's Day is a Wednesday this time, which is one of the worst options, but hey.

Overall, yeah, December's awesome. October, November, and December is my favorite stretch of the year.

December is nice. I really like the latter half of November. The weather starts to get cold, I can wear my jacket, and December brings that cold weather and the holidays. It doesn't typically snow in December where I'm at unfortunately. Playing in the snow is more of a January-March thing

I don’t like it. It’s a time of year that everyone is expected to be happier with the holidays and being so close to American Thanksgiving, but it’s just unrealistic. Not everyone can force themselves to be happy when they aren’t.

Also, the expectation to buy gifts for people is a whole other topic. I don’t give gifts and I definitely don’t expect any, but if I do receive a gift, I feel an obligation to give something to that person. I hate to be that person, but I know I’d rather receive a gift in the middle of June for no reason than on Christmas because someone felt like they had to.

Oh, and I’m not a fan of winter.

I'm neutral. I like having the time off but the quality of life kind of goes down because of the weather changes for me personally.

This is so real

I love December ;w;
My favorite holiday is Christmas, my favorite season is winter.. and I just love the snow T^T
But when the weather changes and it starts to get dark earlier, it's.. a little depressing at times. ;;

Same as Croconaw, I dislike it. Not a fan of the season or the holidays really anymore, so it's just an empty space of time for me, lol.

December is fine. I like being around my immediate family.

Although the uncertainty of a new year and knowing I won't see my immediate family for a long time makes me upset. I actually count the days towards Christmas as somewhat of a negative thing and I enjoy the early days of December more.

I mostly see as another month with the only difference is I only work at one of my part time jobs as my dad closes his business during December every year as it is an extremely slow month for us. The only other thing of note is that I sometimes spend the holidays with my sister and her family for a week.

I dislike it because of the expectation of having something that you don't. I never had a Christmas season that made me genuinely happy.
But I guess the lights are nice. We only do it to counteract the constant darkness though, and I guess that's sweet. But I prefer sunshine.

december to me is the only month where winter is kind. winter in january and february with no real events (other than valentines day) is so dreary and sad. december is bright and cheerful with new years, hanukkah and christmas celebrations. i love some snow so long as i have nowhere to go, and i especially love the holidays.

january can go to hell.

Decembers are a mixed bag for me. I try to keep it positive. ☕
January is probably the gray month for me. There is nothing in January and it is super cold and windy. Decembers sometimes have nice days still when speaking weather only. February kinda sucks too, like January.
But December is a reflective month for me, and even when you feel like complete crap for one reason or another, some of the peaceful holiday decor is uplifting.

Its mostly Christmas and vacation time to me.
A lot of parties and celebration.

i’m sort of indifferent to it; while i do love shopping for gifts and being able to spend time with both sides of my family, i do not look forward to the intense ice storms that are bound to happen 😔

i do like the snow when i’m indoors, but driving in it is always so dangerous and a hassle 🥹

I adore December because I adore Christmas. I've always been a big celebration guy, every opportunity I get (by that I mean just the big main holidays) I participate in the celebrations, though I usually do it on my own/only with family because I don't like going places or events where there's so many people. I get extremely anxious lol, even if it's only two friends I'm hanging out with instead of one. Anyway, December is amazing. I love all the colours and lights and wonder, the hectic-ness of all the shopping. A few people I know have birthdays in December, so that's fun! I love doing Kris Kringle, and the secrecy of making stuff for people, and just the general atmosphere. I love celebrating the nativity and lighting the advent candles every week, and going to all the masses in my locality (even the ones that I have to go to at an unholy hour in the morning—my mam wants to go to a midnight mass this year—because it's not about the short discomfort I feel, but about the tradition of spending different Christmas times together in different situations) and seeing friends or rather they're my parent's friends, lol.

So long rant short, I love December
