oh cool there's rules here i didn't know that

Interesting.
Yeah, there's more to this site- obviously, but the main um.. "idea" that this site revolves around is Animal Crossing. It's a forum. So you're meant to discuss things and whatnot.
If you need anything in Animal Crossing: New Horizons , you can try to ask people here if they have it or not. Or if you collect the Amiibo cards, you can try to trade with other members. You can talk about things that aren't related to Animal Crossing too.
When you look at the site, you can get a feel for how they organized their topics and whatnot.

I'd say that a good place to start is the "Rules & Guidelines" page & "The Introduction Board" to introduce yourself to the site's community.

I mean all I can do is probably talk since i have no NSO and I don't know what amiibo are. Although I can probably guess what they are the moment you said "cards".

Hahahaha. That's fine. A lot of people are the same, I believe! Not having a NSO, I mean.
I'm assuming you play Animal Crossing though? So it's all good- even if you didn't play , I think it would be fine too but just a bit odd.

I'm not sure if this is the right board to discuss this but generally- Amiibos usually come in the form of figurines or cards. You can use them and get certain items or unlock certain things depending on the game. (I.e. You can scan Splatoon Amiibos in Splatoon to unlock certain gear in Splatoon. Or you can use Amiibo villager cards in Animal Crossing New Horizions to invite said villager onto your island.)

I can not explain anything for the life of me so do not take what I say completely seriously.

Oh of course I play Animal Crossing, lol. You're right, I'd be either a friend of someone who does or just weird if I didn't.
Specifically I play New Horizons.
