I really don't want nintendo to be like "the new animal crossing is comming, NEXT YEAR!" Why? Beacuase I want them to really spend time on the new AC! Personally I'd like for them to realase a teaser trailer the next nintendo direct. Then at the end say somethin similar to "new leaf DLC comming in April" That DLC would contain new furniture, clothes and PWPs, like really DLC! (I have no idea if that is even possible lol).

Then as years go by they realse trailers for AC aswell as small DLC packs for new leaf. And then realse the new AC in year 2018 or so. That way they can keep new leaf players entertained aswell as getting them excited for the new AC

IDK really, it's just my stupid little opinion c:

As much as I love New Leaf, I know for a fact it won't last much longer. Unnecessary discontinuation has been Nintendo's thing for years now, and it's only getting worse. Keeping that in mind, I'd like Nintendo to leave the Animal Crossing series alone for a few more years. We haven't had New Leaf that long, and it would be sad for Nintendo to pressure players into getting the next, suddenly most superior game in the series, similar to the way Pok?mon games are treated. As for what I'd like in the next game, I've always fancied growing vegetables. I think it would be very nice.

It won't make everyone happy, though. If the DLC packs cost even a little money, players will go beserk over how nintendo is 'squeezing money' out of new leaf. Nintendo won't however, give the DLC's for free for over a few months, because then they'll be missing out on money they could be making if they had just released a new game.

What's most likely to happen is that nintendo releases a new AC game a little less often than a pokemon game.

Growing vegetables does sound like a good idea :)

I kind of agree with you, because they should take time on the game, but also I would like it if the game came out quickly. :)

I guess DLC would be possible, since they're realising it for Mario Kart 8 too, but I don't think they'll do it. To be honest, if there was going to be DLC for new PWPs and furniture, I think we would have heard about it by now.

That's an excellent way to describe it. I would definitely not want the series to go the Pokemon route

You can't expect it to go on and on and on until the 3DS is totally dead and have people keep buying it. Even with DLC packs, free or paid, it would die off probably not much after it normally would have. The problem is always that everyone who wanted it has pretty much bought it by now and those of who don't have it they try and get in before a successor comes in. Besides then there'd be nothing for people to look forward to if they just kept updating the same game for years. Clearly by how people talk about AC in general, no one would be as interested in a WiiU version if NL was going forever and ever. People already were mad they had to usher in NL over WW and that was over years before imo.

Proof in the pudding is that Destiny has 5 more years of DLC coming and everyone is bored of it already. Yeah I know it's not the same kind of game and there's many details to talk about but my point is it's just not feasible for the masses. There'd be people still hanging on but I bet you 75%+ of the NL crowd put the game down sometime ago and still would have even if there were bigger DLC packs.

Although it's not to say I wouldn't support these DLC packs if they existed. I sure would.

I really agree with this, somehow. I absolutely love New Leaf and would love for Nintendo to expand on it and make the next game just as great, but better. (If that makes sense). On the other hand, too, I would love for the game to be done sooner rather than later, as my patience can be a bit... nonexistent, but the longer it takes, the likely the more work that is going into it; meaning it may be even better. Also, though, I am kind of worried as to what system it will be for. I don't want to have to upgrade to the new nintendo 3ds or Wii U to have to play. I hate having to change systems all the time and for someone like me, who plays very minimal amounts of games, constantly buying new systems when they come out is unnecessary.

Anyways, looking forward to whats in store for the AC Future either way.

New Leaf is now more than two years old. It got out in November 2012. I'm craving for more info on a Wii U Animal Crossing.

Two years old isn't really that old. And the community is still thriving. There are people still having a ball with Wild World and City Folk, for heaven's sake; it's not like it's a 10 year old game. It's still relatively new, comparatively. They could stand to use some time to really put a lot of work and effort and ingenuity into the new AC instead of just rushing to put out a new one. There are still people who are just now getting 3DSs who, by extension, are just now getting New Leaf. Not everyone who wants to play it already has it. idk I'm rambling

DLC would be great but naaah I don't see Nintendo doing that, it would be too... I dunno... sensible. I've never expected sensible decisions from Nintendo so whatever. Buying a Nintendo system or entering one of their main series at all is the equivalent of - as the kids over on tumblr are saying - sitting in a barber's chair and saying "Just **** me up." They do whatever they want, and most often that means they do a lot of unnecessary updates, discontinuations, and half-arsed new material.

Somebody gotta tell them to slow down a bit.

They won't be like that though. The Nintendo team that does AC is working on Splatoon. I highly doubt that much development has gone into AC: Next System that is most likely the Wii U other than conceptual stuff.

I want a majora moon, mother brain, falchion, and the fire emblem as fortune cookie items, as well as nintendo soundtracks (zelda, mario, metroid, themes)

Different types of saplings to purchase, other than the normal ones and cedar. (Birch, Maple, hemlock etc.)

A steampunk gracie set, maybe another new gracie set too

Props sold at Labelles (like an umbrella and a prop each day king's scepter, broomstick, sword, glowstick etc.)

More house exteriors

I want a few more villagers (like 20) and for them to butcher at least 50 of them

The normal personality renamed mellow, and the ichi personality renamed tomboy or something that isn't a foreign word.
