What is a fidget spinner?

I have been asked if I know what this is. What is it? its all I see people talk about?

They're just small little toys that spin. I thought maybe they'd light up or something, but I just looked up a video and they're literally just little things you flick with your fingers to make spin.

Sounds to me like they were made for sufferers of certain mental illnesses. Helps them with their ability to focus, apparently. Very nice.

From what I can gather, It's very good for people with ADHD (which I have), ADD, and Anxiety. I just take focalin/vyvanse to focus, lol.

Anyways there's also fidget cubes/necklaces/rings if spinners arent your thing.

Helps calm ADHD etc. but now they're trendy and are becoming more of a nuisance than helpful.

Yeah I understand google is free but I had to get offline and go to the store. I thought it would be easier to make a forum and view the email whenever I get the email to my phone haha.

And Animalcrossingperson, I have heard of them being toys more than helpful, my boyfriend made a joke asking if I wanted one, and I said "no what even is one"
his response was a "new popular childrens toy"... I also seen a picture of one and it looked like it could cut off a finger haha (ik they cant)
