nook miles ticket, it’s the item you use to visit random islands. People use them as currency because they like to hunt villagers with them

Nook Miles Tickets, obtainable from the Nook Stop, are tickets that allow you to visit a random island. Nook Miles Tickets cost 2,000 Nook Miles (obtainable through nook miles app). To use a Nook Miles Ticket, you need to converse with Orville in your airport. At the start of the game, Orville will already have 1 Nook Miles Ticket on hand for you.

That first ticket is actually awarded to the player by Tom Nook for paying off their tent. He sends the ticket to the Airport instead of giving it to you
