Ok, I really don't understand why this is fair.
I became grounded for a day, because i didn't clean up my dogs crap. My dad said I would be grounded today on Monday and I said OK. On Tuesday (I can never play on that day anyways) I cleaned up the whole yard. But, apparently still grounded. WHAT DOES IT MATTER? I CLEANED IT UP, AND NOW ITS GONE! WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO TAKE A PUNISHMENT? WHY? Why is life so unfair? (Sorry for caps, just really mad)

Life isn't fair, but this example is actually fair. You're just being unreasonable. Let's use an example.
A man stabs somebody and steals all their money. The police find this man, but only after the man treated the wounds to the man he stabbed and returned their money, and even gave an apology. Is it fair that this man gets punishment for this? Of course it is. If you do something that is breaking a law, or in this case, your house rules, you receive punishment. Even if you make amends, that punishment is still in place. While you may be forgiven after apologizing and cleaning up AFTER you were supposed to, the punishment still needs to be there, or you would never learn. That's what discipline is all about.
