What is your favorite Star Trek episode?

Star Trek original series :
The Next Generation :
Deep Space Nine :
Voyager :

Star Trek Original Series :

I'm not a fan of Jim Kirk but I really do like Spock

On The Next Generation:
Galaxy's Child - Sea 4 Ep 16
Times Arrow - Sea 5 Ep 26 , Sea 6 Ep 1
Rascals - Sea 6 Ep 7

On Voyager
Scorpion - Sea 3 Ep 26 , Sea 4 Ep 1

Deep Space 9
Trials and Tribble-ations - Sea 5 Ep 6

I've only watched The Next Generation, but my favorite episode of that was S3E26 The Best of Both Worlds. Up to that point, the Enterprise had encountered threats, but the Borg are a whole other level. You can really tell the Federation is outmatched in almost every regard when they can just barely defend Earth from being assimilated by a single Borg cube.

I'm still working on watching and rewatching all the episodes of TOS and TNG, so I don't have a favorite yet, but I can say that I haven't yet seen an episode that I dislike. Sometimes while I'm watching them, I go through an in-depth analysis (because I find a lot of times that I kinda drift in and out when watching TV/movies and I tend to forget a lot of what happened on screen) and the way that the episodes are planned out and written are, at least most of the time, very nice and smooth.

I did watch the TNG episode "Contagion" recently, and I liked it a lot because they talked a bit about the misunderstood history of the Iconians, and how they were likely bombarded because they were feared. This prompted me to read up online about where the (non)canon books go into more depth on this topic. That gave me a great insight into the lore that I didn't know about.

But ANYWAYS I'm starting to sound like a nerd. :p I'm planning on watching more of those 2 shows, and then once I'm finished I'll get into DS9, the Voyager, etc.

Star Trek TOS : The Doomsday Machine SO2 E6,Balance of Terror SO1 E14
The Next Generation : Yesterday's Enterprise SO3 E15,The Wounded SO4 E12,The Measure Of A Man SO2 E9,The Inner Light SO5 E25,Tapestry SO6 E15
Deep Space Nine : The Visitor SO4 E3,The Nagus SO1 E11
Voyager :Heroes and Demons SO1 E12

my favorite Star Trek episodes are the ones where Captain Kirk hooked up with the blue alien lady (or was it a green alien lady...?)

and also the one where Kirk and the Enterprise crew defeated Krako

spoiler alert !!

very true, i like the part that Data tricked them to go to their regeneration mode....but in Voyager, the Borg met their match lol...

My dad and I used to watch Star Trek, and I don't know the exact episode number, but I love the one where they have the court session and Picard defends Data's humanity.

we're not nerds...we're Trekkies....hmm...wait, did i make it sound worst than a nerd? lol...i love Star Trek, and as you know most of our technologies we enjoy this days, most of them comes from Star Trek...like the communicator in the original Star Trek, Kirk flipping the communicator like the old cell phone, the ipads we use...no mouse needed to use a computer....it's too bad that we will not be around when they get around inventing warp drive and transporter....can you imagine, i want to go to Japan, just needed to beam me up to Tokyo...airplanes will be obsolete, i hate flying...(i'm claustrophobic, i have to be drug to fly lol)

title "The Measure of a Man" Season 2 Episode 9...that is a good one, i can't believe that commander compared Data to a toaster...what the heck !!!!

have you seen "The Offspring" Season 3 Episode 16 ?
if you like the measure of a man, you will love the offspring episode....i can't spoil it for you, you will have to watch it and you'll know what i mean...

I'm not familiar about the original series with Kirk but the movie "Star Trek Generations" where Kirk & Picard defeated Soran is good..
and if you're a fan of the original series, there are 2 episodes in TNG where Doctor McCoy & Scotty was there....
For Doctor McCoy its on Season 1 Episode 1 where he's there inspecting the NCC-1701-D..and there's an episode titled "Relics" where Scotty was a guest on Season 6 Episode 4...i hope it will pick your interest to watch TNG
