What kind of plane?

So it's been confirmed that travel will be by plane, since we hear plane sounds in the beginning of the trailer, and there is also an airport by the docks. It got me thinking about what kind of plane we are going to have.

Spoiler: I'd rather have this old school kind of plane:

Spoiler: It could also be a sea plane, since we are on an island and that wouldn't be too bad:

I was also wondering if we could customise the plane itself! That might be fun ^_^ I honestly would have preferred a cute little boat but as long as the plane isn't too modern or plain [pun intended XD], I'll be happy. Although since the plane would most likely need to be able to accommodate up to 8 players, I'm worried that the 2 seater planes will not be used and we will be stuck with a normal commercial plane I just feel like that would not have the animal crossing charm to it. But maybe that's just me..

Let me know what you guys think in the poll! Is there another type of plane that I'm forgetting that might suit ACNH better than the options above?

I think seaplane is the best and nicest-looking option since it fits nicely with the tropical theme, but also because I'm hoping they won't allocate a chunk of the beach to make room for a runway, because less beach space would suck. There's also little triangles under the airport icon on the map maybe indicating an inaccessible zone within the water for the runway? Or maybe I'm reaching.

Agree with the thought that it will likely be a seaplane. Any other plane would require at least some amount of runway.

I wonder who the pilot will be. I'm thinking either Rover or Kapp'n.

When we look at the map we can see a little plane symbol on the beach so it'll most likely be a sea plane.

It was sorta a cargo plane, which could be enough to fit... Basically you, and your islander buddies. And Nook.

I took another listen from the trailer at the beginning and it sounds like a propeller airplane. I do not see a paved runway anywhere so I think it looks like we will have to use a seaplane.

i think it will be kind of like in super mario sunshine, both with the airplane and small airport place. but perhaps it will be one of those water planes. either way i think it will be adorable and small

I'm with everyone else in that it should be a sea plane. That's way too fitting for it not to happen. Alternatively, maybe your town could have an airport, which gives access to different types. That way Porter isn't out of a job.
