What other game mechanic should I know before playing?

Hey, so I recently started playing AC (around 2 years ago), and I've been reading and watching a lot of stuff about ACNH, and I learned some game mechanics I never knew existed. For example, the perfect fruit thingy, and the fact that when you create your island you start with a native fruit.

So, are there some other mechanics I should know before playing? Doesn't matter if they've been removed on NH, since I'll still be playing Wild World and New Leaf.

You're not going to play New Horizons?

In regards to New Leaf, there are two rocks in your town you need to look out for everyday. One is a fake rock which, when hit, will provide an ore (like gold, sapphire, ruby, etc). Another rock will be a 'money rock' and will spawn a certain amount of bells when hit multiple times. These two rocks are generated everyday in your town

I wonder if they will appear in New Horizons. Hmm
